Ocean Views - 1 Minute Walk To The Beach - All Bedrooms w Their Own Private Bath

Designed to be a vacation home, this 2 story beach house was completed in May 2015. It's just steps away from Wells Beach with all the amenities you want and need!

FIRST FLOOR: The layout of the home is very well designed for open concept living and entertaining. The eat-in kitchen has bar stools around the island and a formal dining table. The living room features hardwood floors and 2 large comfy couches to sink into after a long day at the beach. There’s a flat screen TV in the living room and Wi-Fi throughout the house. There’s a washer and dryer located near the front entry way. There are 2 decks on the first floor and a half bath off the living room. The front deck faces the ocean and is attached to the living room being accessible by sliding glass doors. The back deck is accessible through a bedroom on the back side of the house. This first floor bedroom has 2 twin size beds and a private full bathroom. These decks allow you to sit outside and enjoy the fresh ocean air. You can enjoy morning coffee while taking in the views. At night you can enjoy the sound of the ocean waves.

TOP FLOOR: The top floor has 3 bedrooms; each one has its own private bathroom, for a total of 3 bathrooms on this floor. The Master Bedroom features a king size bed, with a front deck facing the ocean. The adjacent bedroom has 2 queen size beds as well as twin size bunk-beds on the top and the bottom. This bedroom also has access to the front deck and beautiful ocean views. The last bedroom faces toward the back side of the house. It has a queen size bed and a private deck facing the back side of the house.

There is an outside shower to rinse off the beach sand before returning to the house. In the yard, there are 4 tables with chairs, 2 lounge chairs, beach chairs and a gas grill.

Family Beach Vacation

We traveled with 3 young kids and this was a wonderful property for our family in an ideal location. We could walk to the beach in 2 minutes, look for crabs, play in the sand and splash in the waves. It was easy to come back home for lunch or naps for the younger kids. The house was spacious and very comfortable. It had all the amenities one could need. We will definitely be back.

July Family Vacation

The house was exactly as described, spacious and well equipped, plenty of beach towels and chairs. Everyone having their own bathrooms was a super plus! Short walk to Crescent Beach and Wells Lobster Pound. Other restaurants and supermarket close by as well. Unfortunately, the beach disappears at high tide but once the tide recedes it's a treasure trove to find all kinds of aquatic creatures. Our host Lindsay was great to work with, and the house was perfect for our needs. I would highly recommend anyone staying at this house.

Good location with easy access to the beach. It is an area of the beach that the water goes to the sea wall so during high tide you cannot be on the close beach. There are many decks to sit and relax on and plenty of seating and tables below the house. The kitchen and outdoor grill are adequate. All of the table and counter seating indoors is tall so that may be difficult if you have small children/toddlers.The king and queen beds are very comfortable the twin beds are fine. Bed linens and towels are not provided which is a bit of a bummer to have to make the beds on arrival. This information is in the listing and reminders again about linens are given with precheck-in message. It is very nice that each bedroom has it's own bathroom.

Fantastic property for family gathering!

Peggy's house was great! The kids had a whole room to themselves with bunkbeds and queen beds. You can hear the ocean at night from the porch and bedroom windows. Beach is directly across the street. Peggy was super sweet and had great communication. Would recommend!!

Perfect gathering spot

It was quite difficult selecting accommodations from miles away; but we were delighted with our stay at this property. Our criteria was for a place large enough to gather the whole family, with an updated kitchen. There were seven adults and three kids, with ideal sleeping quarters for all. It was really helpful having separate bathrooms for each family!!!!! The cottage was immaculate and well-provisioned. If we have the opportunity to gather in Maine again, it will be at Seas the Day!!!!!

My grandparents opened Moody's Cottages next door in the 1960s. It has remained in the family since that time. My brother is now a third generation owner. Before him, my Mother owned and operated the place for 20 years. During that time, she expanded the business by building two beach houses - including this one.

Why they chose this property

The location of this home is fabulous--the views are wonderful--and the area offers everything you need and want! You won't have to drive to the beach or pay for parking, because you're a short 1 minute walk to the beach entrance. You can come and go all day from the house to the beach. Beach chairs are provided!

Wells, Maine is a beautiful town with a lot of history. It's the third oldest town in Maine -established in 1641. Aside from its beautiful and family-friendly beaches, Wells is also a great place to visit for nature lovers.

Besides the beach - the most popular attraction is The Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farms. An area of 2,250 acres of salt marsh, freshwater wetlands, beach, dune, forest and field are protected by the Reserve. Open everyday from 7 AM to sunset, there are seven miles of trails which cross woodlands, wetlands, grasslands, salt marsh and sand beach.

The next most popular attraction is the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. It was established to protect valuable salt marshes and estuaries for migratory birds. There is a one-mile trail which is great for kids along the salt marsh. The back side of the house has views of the tidal estuary.

Also, don't forget that Wells is the antique store capital of Maine. It possesses 25 antique shops all along or very close to Route 1.

If you're looking for a carefree way to see the local area, you can walk just across the street to the Shoreline Trolley stop. The trolley operates on an established route (approximately 20 miles long) between the Ogunquit town line and the Bypass Road in Wells.
