About this property

The Farmhouse At Aura Orchards

Find relaxion among 15 acres of woodland trails, a quarter acre garden, and 70 apple trees - many rare varietals. The finest sand beach in Copper Country is less than a mile down the road. There is also an outdoor sauna, hot tub, fire pit, and BBQ grill available. The farmhouse is bright, airy, and comfortable in any season.

Please keep in mind when booking that the month of June is typically when mosquitos are worst in our section of Upper Michigan.

Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom and has a queen bed.

Bedroom 2 is a lofted space and is accessed through Bedroom 3. It has a queen bed and full sized trundle beneath.

Bedroom 3 is a pass through bedroom/home office space with a queen bed and full sized trundle beneath.

The sofa in the Living Room has a queen sized fold-out bed.

Both bathrooms have luxurious showers with high water pressure. Towels and wash cloths are provided for each guest.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Strip bed sheets from all used beds, collect used towels, and start a load of laundry with 1-2 sets of sheets
Close all windows/skylights and set mini-split to cool at 70 degrees (summer) or set the thermostat to heat at 50 degrees (all other seasons)
Begin draining the hot tub into the yard using the submersible pump and hose
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests may not use wood stove
No RV's without permission
Smoking indoors is prohibited and will incur a $500 cleaning fee in addition to standard cleaning fee

Great getaway for the family

From reservation to check in and check out everything was super smooth and easy. The house was spotless and had plenty of space for 5 adults and 2 small dogs. WiFi worked flawlessly the entire stay. The kitchen has plenty of plates, silverware and drinkware. The bathrooms were well stocked and super clean. Beds were very comfortable. 3 adult “kids” enjoyed time in the hot tub. The grill worked great for making burgers. We never managed to use the sauna- but it looked great. We enjoyed watching the deer pick apples. The turkeys put on a show one evening. We saw a crane couple several times and even a fox early one morning. There is a nice little beach about 3 minutes from the house that we enjoyed. We visited the Porcupine Mountain SP as well as much of the Keweenaw including Copper Harbor (if going out to the point you’ll want 4x4 by the way). This house was a great place to use as a base for our family vacation. (Oh…. The cinnamon rolls from Hilltop Restaurant are a sight to behold…. And really good!!)
