About this property

03 Halibut Hole Cabin | 1 Bed, 1 Bath

This rustic cabin features a lower level with small living/dining area, kitchen, bathroom and shower. There is no electricity in the cabin but all appliances (oven and refrigerator) and lights are powered via propane. Amazing views of the Strait right from your bed! Stay cozy and warm with a wood burning stove. Relax on the beach or bring your boat for some of the best fishing and crabbing in the Pacific NW.

Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find.

Nearby Olympic National Park entrances like the Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery make this location an excellent "base camp" from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula and towns like Forks, Neah Bay and beaches like Shi Shi Beach and Hobuck Beach. Explore the parks, walk the rivers (Dungeness, Elwha and many more), kayak on Lake Crescent or drop right in the Strait from our private boat ramp. During the Winter and Fall, enjoy the true nature of the Pacific Northwest: observe the high tides, storm surges and occasional dense marine fog from the comfort of your cozy cabin. You are going to love this place!

*** A note to our winter guests: December and January have been known to produce King Tides. During extreme weather conditions your reservation may need to be altered or rescheduled. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

** Strict Pet Policy: Please inform me upon booking that you would like to bring a pet. You will need to pay the pet fee in the office upon arrival. Fee ranges by breed. (starting at $10 a night for non-shedding, smaller pets if you bring bedding for your bed). To save a large portion of the pet fee, please bring along your own bedding (blankets and pillows) for your beds. Please keep pets off all furniture. Keep pets on a leash when out in the campground. Keep them under control and clean up after them.

Cabin retreat
This was exactly what I hoped for, a peaceful retreat right on the water. There were lots of little things I did not expect like a French press for coffee and cooking pans. I did not even notice that everything is run by propane. All the fixtures are the best of best and the wood stove was a nice touch too!

Halibut Hole stay
We loved the rustic-ness of the cabin and its proximity to the water. There was a half-full soda can upstairs when we arrived and several slivers of soap from previous guests were left in the shower area. The upstairs loft had a hole in the window (natural A/C!). We scrunched up a plastic bag and filled the hole. The location was quite remote. Still, it was our favorite place we stayed (of 3) while we were visiting the PNW.
