I recently saw someone wearing a t-shirt that said "I would rather be in the mountains". No kidding I thought. The mountains are where the stars are brighter, the air is cleaner and the quiet is even quieter. Does that tempt you to make "The Great Escape"? This lovely custom built home is equipped for family fun in every season. Bikers, hikers, boaters, bakers and even couch potatoes will love the location in every season. Guests will enjoy WIFI, multiple TV’s, two gas fireplaces and an outdoor hot tub. The open floor plan makes cooking, dining, visiting and TV watching all social events. Teens and tweens can escape to the loft or downstairs family room for some “parentless” peace and quiet. Go ahead and make The Great Escape to the mountains! Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: great place to ride out a major winter storm with 4 teenage boys and 2 couples. The house was nice and warm. Some complaints that the twin beds in the basement were uncomfortable. Both king beds were very comfortable. Could use a handyman to spend half a day and make minor repairs, but major systems, appliances and the hot tub were in good working order. Very thankful the driveway is flat!

The listing is accurate, the property was clean, and we enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. There were plenty of bedrooms and two large living rooms with comfortable couches. However, there’s a large chunk missing from the front steps that felt unsafe, especially when covered in snow, and the basement living room Wi-Fi was intermittent, which interfered with watching movies and sports. The Wi-Fi in the upstairs living area is fine. There are also a few simple handyman type things that need to be done and the management has been notified about those.

It's very convenient to the slopes and the ski room in the basement worked out great to store everything. We had 3 families here with kids and there was plenty of space to spread out. The only negative was the tv in the was missing the extension cord, so it didn't work. We will look at booking this house in the future.

It is a large accommodating cabin with and plenty of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. There were 12 individual beds and none were bunk beds. Several of the mattresses may need to be replaced as well as some of the kitchen cookware but didn't impact our enjoying the property.

Reviewer Comments: Very nice, spacious, and convenient home.Very often parking is a problem for over 3 vehicles, but this home could park 5 vehicles without a problem. hot tub was nice, and outside grill was piped directly to gas. Hot water heater was behind locked door, but seemed to be on demand, so hot water was endless.We have been coming to this area for family reunions for many years, and this was one of the best places we have stayed. Thank you very much for sharing your home!

The kitchen was a good size and had many tools, spices, coffee and everyday items that helped us make our meals. Having 4 full bathrooms was great too! The hot tub was used and enjoyed by the adults. The location was great for our skiers/boarders! The downstairs exterior door and mud room was perfect to contain the wet boots and clothes instead of tracking it all in upstairs. Our group hopes to stay there again in the future.

Amenities were great for what we had planned, and the location and parking were perfect for mostly senior citizens, some of whom had some mobility problems. Although not handicapped accessible, the layout of the house made it quite convenient. Hot tub and outdoor grill were new and enjoyed. The grill is directly plumbed to the house LP, so no fooling with empty propane tanks! Kitchen and dining areas were great and the outdoor deck seating is perfect when the weather allows.

Beautiful mountain setting!

Very spacious house in a beautiful area but it could use some updating and a deep cleaning. Appliance feel tacky as do the cabinet handles. Many of the windows are missing the cranks to open them, screens are dirty and have holes. The sliding door off the kitchen will not lock. The front steps are in bad condition and dangerous. There is no railing on the basement steps. The quality of the paper towels and toilet paper could be upgraded and more could be provided. Also the main floor beds could be upgraded to kings or queens. As I said the house is spacious and in a beautiful setting. It met our needs but could be a lot nicer with a little TLC!
