This was perfect for our one night stay to visit the botanical gardens, it was only minutes away. Also very close to quite a few dinner and shopping options.
After a very long car trip, I was happy to walk into a clean, comfortable room with soothing colors and fluffy bed coverings. The shower was hot. The room was quiet. I sleeped very well. I stayed with my two small dogs. There is a large yard out back for their walks. The cabins are a quick drive to all major attractions, grocery store, lakes, ponds, trails, etc. It is across the road from a great pizza place and the railroad museum. Would definitely stay again.
Clean cute basic room with a little balcony overlooking the forest in rural Maine. Host always responded promptly. Check-in process was only transmitted when I arrived. So don't worry if you haven't details until the day of your booking. No amenities - bring your own hair dryer.

Awful experience!!! Arrived at property and nobody was present to check in. Owner wanted us to go down the street to a different location to check in. He met us at property and said he never received payment which is a lie…… paid for property back in July. Left property and had to find another place last minute because they turned us away. The property is also not as it appears online . This place should not even be available to rent.
The basic stuff was great. Check in was easy. Great area. We picked this cottage as it was close to several things we wanted to do. It is right across the street from the Railroad Museum which is awesome. Bring everything you think you might need. A few simple things would make this place a five. Coffee machine, hair dryer, thicker bigger towels, mat for your feet when you get out of the shower, extra toilet paper, extra towels(three small body towels, two wash clothes and a hand towel), maybe one bar of soap, suit case stand, maybe mount the TV and put a small coffee area along with the current microwave and small refrigerator. Also, pillows were flat, linens and blanket were real thin. Again, the area was nice, there are some "full-time'' residents that were nice and it was quiet. It sounds petty until your there for three nights and the room gets real uncomfortable. I dud reach out to the owner through email about toilet paper and I never heard back. 3 stars in my book is average which this cottage is. Add some creature comforts and it's 5 stars all the way.
