About this property
Charming holiday home in the middle of nature amidst beautiful bastide townes
Aux Martis is a small-scale and ecological holiday domain. We are located in the southwest of France, on the border of Lot-et-Garonne and Dordogne. Our region is characterised by its many fairy-tale villages, rolling hills and dense forests, historic castles, ruins and caves. There is so much to discover and experience in every season.
What kind of holiday can we offer you? Alone, with family or friends: we have smaller and larger gîtes, plus some camping pitches. From June to September, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool. Our focus is on tranquillity, conviviality and respect for nature.
This region is known as the ‘Coeur de Bastides’. Bastides are fortified towns built in the Middle Ages, and we are in the midst of three well-known and lively bastide villages: Monflanquin, Villeréal and Monpazier. A few kilometres from us you have the imposing Château de Biron and the fairytale donjon of Gavaudun.
A little further north, you are right in the heart of the Dordorgne, this is the place for lovers of history and prehistory.
During the summer, you can order bread with us and we also sell some local products. Throughout the year, we offer full breakfast on request.
At the weekly traditional markets nearby, you can find all kinds of vegetables, fruit, cheese, meat, fish and other local or seasonal specialities. And evening markets are also organised in July and August, where you can taste all kinds of freshly made and local dishes and snacks.
Gite Le Pivert:
The kitchen, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms are on the ground floor, from the living room a staircase leads to the mezzanine where there is a third bedroom.
Modern equipped kitchen with induction hob, hot-air oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee machine, toaster, blender
Bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin
Bedroom 1 with double bed 160x200
Bedroom 2 with two single beds 80x200
Mezzanine with one single bed 90x190
The gravel road that runs through the property ends at our three smaller gîtes: first you encounter the Hirondelle, a bit further the Pivert and at the end the Hibou. Thanks to the many trees surrounding the gîtes, you enjoy plenty of privacy. The covered terrace of the Pivert overlooks the surrounding fields and woods, and our own little valley and swimming pool.
The swimming pool is about 30 metres' walk away. It is shared with guests of the other gîtes and any campers from our mini-campsite. The pool is open from June to September.
Cot and high chair available
Washing machine at the campsite sanitary facilities (free of charge)
Bed linen is always provided, bath linen is optional (€8/pp)
There is WIFI
Barbecue available
Pets allowed
The gîte is heated (only) with a wood-burning stove
