Stay comfortably at this one room cabin for two travelers. Nestled in a tranquil setting, this cabin offers a phenomenal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With heating to keep you cozy, A simple one room Alaska dry ( no plumbing) secluded 16x16 cabin retreat is the perfect spot for guests looking to unwind and relax. A get away for two surrounded by the foothills and Alaska Mountain Range. Up on a ridge over looking the landscape. Perfect opportunity to watch for wildlife. From your cabin is a 15 -20 minute hiking trail to the lake for a viewing of Denali Mountain and 15 miles drive to the Denali National Park entrance.
AWD or 4 wheel drive vehicle is required and driving in LOW GEAR up the Ridge Road for driving to the cabin or parking in the 2 wheel drive area and with a 15-20 minutes hike up the ridge road to the cabin. Transportation is available to the cabin for checking in and out from the 2 wheel drive parking area with time of arrival and departure notice
Cabin is set-up for two guests and provides
- Two chairs and table,
- Electric heaters with remote control.
-Small refrigerator with small freezer,
- Microwave,
- Keurig coffee maker
- Two twin/single beds with pillows, sheets and light blankets.
- A wash and gray water dry sink with 5 gals. water jug for washing over the sink. (bring drinking bottle water, cooking and eating utensils, etc..)
- Outhouse toilet is about 50 feet away from cabin.
- Sorry, this cabin has NO shower.
- Laundry, showers, fuel stations, groceries & supplies stores and Dinning are available just 5 miles south in the town of Healy.
- Pets are welcome with a pet fee, but cannot be left unattended in the cabin or on the property.
- Additional guest for each person after two are welcome with a fee. Guest need to provide bedding and set-up sleeping area.
- Additional fees can be add to your booking under basic rate fees.

Beautiful property in a very secluded area. Cabins are very nice and clean with modern amenities like a fridge and microwave. The outhouse was very clean and stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer and an air freshener. The road wasn't too bad getting up there, it's just a really steep grade so 4 wheel drive is a must. Would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view. It does need curtains though, especially in the long days of summer. We enjoyed the trail to the lake. The host is not kidding about needing a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the cabin, the road is a little scary. Overall a very quiet and peaceful stay in a lovely, secluded location.

Very basic cabin but as described. It would be quite easy to elevate the interior by adding comforters and 2 pillows on each bed. When we stayed there, the grounds were mostly dirt because the owner was in the process of building another cabin. We brought the chairs outside to have coffee in the morning but the deck wasn't facing the best view so we put them on the grass on the side of the cabin that faced the view. All that said, I texted the owner with a request to bring more pillows and blankets and he brought them in his pretty awesome ATV very quickly.It is an Alaska experience so if that's what you're looking for...it's perfect!

Enjoyed our stay at this remote cabin, it was clean, quiet and as described, except I don't believe it mentioned needing a 4WD vehicle until after I reserved the cabin. It wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone else. Take in whatever you are going to need, as far as food and such. No stove and minimal utensils and no dishes. It is definitely rustic and a true "Alaskan" experience!! The views are wonderful!!I would rent again should the need arise!

We checked out on the one year anniversary of this cabin opening. It still smelled wonderful, of fresh wood. Everything was exactly as advertised, but better. Communication with host was easy, and he always responded quickly.

This was a super cool cabin in the woods. It felt private and very relaxed setting. Very cozy and would gladly stay here again. Host gladly picked us up at the bottom of the hill and took us down as needed. The driveway is no joke. The location is close to the park too.
