Stay in a beautiful, 3-bedroom cottage where you will enjoy gorgeous sunsets from your deck, overlooking the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve. You will also see and hear the waves from the ocean and wildlife from the marsh. The home is just steps away from the public access to beautiful Wells Beach.

Picture your family enjoying this spacious home with high ceilings, large windows, an open balcony and a beautiful view of the marsh. Room for the whole family with a full kitchen, dining and two living areas as well as 2 full bathrooms. Wind-down comfortably with 2 queen-sized bedrooms, 1 full-sized bedroom and a sleeper sofa. To make it easier for those traveling with infants, we have a Pack & Play stored behind a chair in Bedroom 1 and a high chair available so you don't need to pack those bulky items. On-site laundry (though the washer is on the small side), outdoor shower, parking for 3 vehicles, multiple enchanting outdoor living areas, and beach toys are all extra amenities you will enjoy with the cottage rental.

Conveniently located just steps to sandy Wells Beach, our cottage will sweep you into the beauty and excitement of the Maine Beaches! Dine at one of our neighborhood’s many renowned restaurants and lobster pounds, enjoy activities for both children and adults, and don’t miss live music and theater events taking place all summer long in the Wells - Ogunquit area.

Host the ideal family vacation in this comfortable cottage with room for the family to spread out and enjoy! Three bedrooms offer space to relax in queen and full size beds. Top floor offers cathedral ceilings with loft-style bedroom with spectacular views of the ocean and marsh. Middle floor has kitchen, full bath, dining area for 6, workspace, living area, and a wrap around porch. First floor holds two bedrooms, full bath, laundry, second living space, and two additional outdoor seating areas.

As an added bonus, all linens and towels are provided for your stay.

Outside, escape reality with your choice of 4 separate sitting areas - 2 on the top deck, and two patios on the ground level. One patio is fenced in for extra security and privacy. The property also has deeded access to the marsh, so bring your own canoes, kayaks and paddle boards to explore the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve.

Sorry, no smoking and no pets allowed. Rentals are Friday to Friday in the summer months of June-September. Off season rentals can be shorter minimum night stays by request, please email us.

Lovely home and the location is excellent. We just stayed down the street from family so we didn't use the entire house. The only tough part was the spiral staircase. It can be a challenge for little ones or older people but otherwise lovely!

Beach bliss

Kris is a fabulous communicator, making sure our stay was perfect. This was our fifth year staying at this property and it can't be best. Marsh views with sunsets off the porch, quick walk to the beach making runs back to the house for snacks or "I forgot" easy, the location can't be beat.

Great spot on Wells Beach

Just steps to the beach for morning walks, hanging out at the beach during the day, and we were treated to an amazing moon rising. The decks allowed us to be outside, even if the weather wasn’t exactly perfect. Great space inside too. We enjoyed grilling and outdoor dining. So many great spaces on this property.

Great house even more perfect location!

We had a great time visiting Wells Beach this year and had an amazing stay here. You are across the street from the beach, takes less than a minute to get to, it was so easy to go to and from, especially with 2 toddlers! You are also right on the beautiful marsh, so you get the best of both worlds. The wrap around deck is gorgeous and you have great views of the marsh. The kitchen was fully stocked and the appliances were in great condition. It was a perfect family trip, definitely recommend!

Best thing is all the outside spaces to relax- always sun or shade somewhere! A very quiet street. 120 steps to the beach. Heaven on earth and Kris is the most wonderful and helpful owner. Hoping for next year!

Just loved this adorable three-storied cottage. Went on a girls getaway in October and searched high and low for the perfect place to accommodate 6 of us. The marsh views and close proximity to the ocean as well were like the cherry on the cake lol. The wrap around deck is a perfect place to relax, read, sip your fav beverage or just take in the view of the marsh. Which is right in front of you. There are cute spots tight to the house (in addition to the ample deck) for outside chilling. There are also beach chairs to use if you can’t fit yours lol. The house is three floors. Spiral staircase. Everything you need is provided. Seriously. The house was spotless and there are two full bathrooms. We really looked forward to coming back at days end to relax and spend time there. And most definitely can hear the oceans surf from the house. Beach access is right across the street. Boom. Beach. It’s a great spot. Our host, Kris, was so helpful and got back to me with answers to questions I had very quickly. It was reassuring to know someone was out there to help us navigate if needed. The entire process was very straight forward and Kris helped make it that way. Very appreciative we were. The area has anything and everything one could ask for. Very close to grocery stores, restaurants, other beaches etc. We had a great time and enjoyed the property very much. I was able to walk into the house I rented online looking at pics only, and said “Wow, so so cute”. Thanks

Excellent family vacation

Best vacation we’ve had in years! The location of the house is perfect- coffee overlooking the back beach in the morning was truly so peaceful. It’s at the end of Atlantic Ave where you don’t have to worry about losing the entire beach at high tide. The owner is very responsive and the house is just beautiful and spacious and comfortable. Definitely a place we’d go again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach. The location is perfect for everything we love to do. Long walks, runs and bike rides; games and lounging on the beach and then back to the house for a great dinner.

1st floor musty.

The mildew odor was overwhelming when we checked in. It never left even with windows open. I suspect there is water damage somewhere and possibly mold. Neighboring homes are being elevated because of flooding that must've happened over the winter or early spring.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good: Wells Beach itself is nice - family friendly, calm waves, clean sand. Locals are friendly. The rental house was reasonably clean and is a few minute walk away from the beach. The Bad: The rental house has absolutely no "spectacular views of the ocean" nor does it have "3 vehicle parking" as claimed in listing at the time of this writing. Marsh view only, and two cars max parking. There are no sidewalks and many roadside obstructions that make walking anywhere unpleasant at best, and somewhat hazardous at worst. Bedroom doors have no locks so bring your own lock if privacy is important to you. We resorted to wedging a broomstick between the bedframe and door. The retrofitted spiral staircase, while entertaining for the first hour or two, is located in close proximity to the entrance door and this makes for a very cumbersome layout... watch your head when entering or exiting the house. The Ugly: The spiral stairs are inherently dangerous. Not only were a dozen bolts missing and numerous hand rail supports disconnectd, but the riser of every step is made of sharp metal that can catch the heel of feet while descending the stairs. My husband, and two of my children sustained lacerations from the spiral staircase. One of these injuries was quite severe removing a large flap of skin. To make matters worse, the property owner did not seem too concerned and was slow to respond to messages. Typical response time was several days.

Fabulous location!

My husband and I and two other couples had a wonderful week at the house. It took just a minute or two to walk to the beach just across the road. We enjoyed the common indoor and varied outdoor gathering spaces that the house offered. Further, the kitchen was well-stocked with most everything we needed, and there was an accurately-depicted well-worn assortment of beach chairs and toys. While the two first-floor bedroom mattresses should be and some of the furniture coverings could use an update (replacement/recovering), we thoroughly enjoyed the space and our time there.

Everything We Could Have Wanted

It would be important to respect this rental because the house is so tastefully furnished and has everything you would ever need and more. All sorts of outdoor spaces have been created where one can relax or have a bite and it was a pleasure to open the sliding doors in the morning and greet the sunlight over the boats on the marsh. The beach is right across the road, too. If you have children, they will find books and games and there is even a Pack 'N Play. This owner has thought of everything!

Weekend Getaway In Wells, Maine

This home was the perfect location for our weekend stay in Wells Beach. We were in town to participate in the Maine Coast Marathon weekend and this was the perfect location for us. We were able to walk to the starting area and the beach is just a few steps across the street. The home comfortably accommodated 3 couples and we would recommend this property to others.

I fell in love with this home for the proximity to both the marsh and the ocean, while being set back from the main road. The outdoor living spaces are so inviting. Inside, the comfort, cleanliness, and serene views captivated me. I could feel the love, laughter and enjoyment from families coming together here in the past and look forward to sharing this home for other families to enjoy, too.
