We are on 18 acres with a private airstrip, a forest and a creek located in Western Washington a few miles west of Lynden, 16 miles to the Bellingham airport and 5 miles to the Canadian border.
We offer one bedroom, we call it the Tiger Moth Room after one of our airplanes. It is located on the second story of our house. The room is 250 square feet and has a private full bath and a sitting area where you can read or use your laptop. It has a king sized bed and views of the forest and raspberry fields. The bathroom has a claw foot slipper tub and radiant floor heating. There is a walk in closet with extra towels and bed linens. Also coffee and tea supplies.
Owner profile: Both my husband and I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time working on our property. I grow most of our vegetables and what I don't grow I buy at the local Bellingham Farmers Market. I believe growing organic and supporting our local farmers market. I also grow blueberries, strawberries, goji berries and dahlias. My husband is a retired 737 Captain and a private pilot. We enjoy evening flights or a drive to the beach to watch the sunset after a day of work. We also work at the Bellingham Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the spring and summer months. We enjoy interaction with our guests but will respect your privacy if you prefer. We are available to recommend restaurants and area attractions.

The stay was nice and quiet and the host was very friendly. It is a beautiful country setting with fresh air and fields surrounding it. The space was clean and well equipped.
Our room was absolutely wonderful. Very spacious with a wonderful comfortable king bed. The house sits alone from traffic and neighbors and was so very peaceful. Our hosts were great and even shared their blueberries from the brushes with us. Highly recommend the home. Thank you Cathie and Rick.
What a beautiful property. The hosts are great people and put a sense of warmth and personality into my stay. It's quiet, but close to town and shopping. Much to see.
Cathie and Ann were truly amazing hosts! Our stay was absolutely wonderful — cozy, comfortable, and peaceful. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even taking the time to walk us through their berry farm and show us their planes, which was such a unique and memorable experience. Their hospitality and kindness made our trip extra special. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with genuine, friendly hosts!
Very convenient location while visiting family in Birch Bay. The home is beautiful and our room had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. Thanks.
Only glitch in our stay was their well’s pump burned up and we had no water. If we had stayed more than one night it would have been a problem. Not taking stars off because it wasn’t in their control, just bad timing.
My sister and I had the pleasure staying at this beautiful family log cabin home over Labor Day weekend. Not only were we welcomed in like family, we also had the honor of meeting their extended family on their vacation! We had such a good time at a local Dahlia Farm for a special event and Cathie-Ann gave us a great tip for breakfast in Lynden. Loved, loved, loved our stay here and will be back again!
This property is amazing! Very quiet with great views. The accommodations are wonderful from a relaxing claw foot tub to a comfortable king sized bed. My wife and I give this property our highest praise!
I loved spending time learning about the property and the planes etc. from Rick. He was very kind to show me around and answer my questions, telling good stories about the place and its history. Cathie-Ann helped me check in and she was also very kind. I slept so well on that comfy bed! I would not hesitate to return.
The hosts are focused on guest comfort, and welcome them as part of the family. The quiet, clean, and refreshing country setting is an ideal stress relief retreat.
The house, property, and host we're wonderful. I will definitely be staying with them again. I also, recommended other people I know to enjoy their hospitality, property, and community.
Thank you.
Very, very nice. Owners and location are fantastic. Have stayed here before and definitely will again when in the area. Super clean and quiet, could not have been any better.

Very comfortable with amenities such as coffee, tea, and water. Fridge and microwave were perfect. The bed is so very comfortable as well. Will stay again!
Very comfortable large room in a beautiful, quiet location in the country but just five minutes from downtown Lynden. If we are ever in this area again, we would definitely stay here again.
Great space--clean and well appointed. Very quiet area for great sleeping. Friendly host and friendly dog. Beautiful property. It's a rural area, not in the city, but that's exactly what we wanted. Wouldn't not hesitate to return.
