2 Bedroom | 1 Bath | Screened Back Porch | Fenced Courtyard | Historic 1848 Home
Tucked just two blocks from iconic Forsyth Park, This unit is the story-filled ground-floor flat of The Dueling Sisters Inn — once home to Myrle, the bold, fabulous, and fun-loving sister who never turned down a party.
While her sister Mildred next door preferred rose gardens, books, tea cakes, buttered biscuits. Myrle lived for champagne toasts and scandalous Savannah nights. It’s said her screened porch hosted secret serenades, flirty glances, and the occasional impromptu dance-off. More than one gentleman caller arrived with flowers — and left in a huff.
Today, her legacy lives on in a unit that’s spacious, comfy, and filled with soul. Not overly fancy — just like Myrle — but welcoming, clean, and ready for your next memory:
*Two queen bedrooms, each with their own TV
*Living room TV and comfy seating for lazy evenings in
* Myrle's Original hardwood floors and pocket doors from 1848
* A simple kitchen with a dining table for four-Myrle was never much of a cooking kind of girl, so this kitchen is simple and efficient.
* A charming screened-in back porch for sipping, people-watching, or plotting your next Savannah adventure
* A private fenced courtyard — once the scene of many late-night laughs and whispered secrets
A Note on Housekeeping...
Your stay is lovingly cared for by our longtime housekeeper and honorary innkeeper, Miss Stacy. She's been with us for years — and while she’s got a heart of gold, she swears "those darn washcloths hide from me on purpose." You might find one in your pillowcase, but don’t worry — it’s clean. She means well, we promise.
The Legend of Myrle Lives On...
If the house feels a little lively, you can thank Myrle. Some say her spirit still lingers, watching over her beloved parties and porch chats. Guests have reported hearing music, laughter, or even catching the faint scent of gardenia perfume — her signature scent. Whether you believe in ghosts or just good storytelling, you'll feel her presence in the best way.
So come relax like a local. **Sip something on the porch**, stay up too late swapping secrets, and soak in the charm of a home where Southern sass, vintage soul, and a little party magic still linger in the air.
This home was built in 1848, and she comes with all the quirks you’d expect from a grand old Southern dame. Expect creaky floors, historic oddities, very dated bathroom, and plenty of personality. She’s not perfect — but she’s clean, comfortable, and full of love.
If you’re looking for a stay with soul — and don’t mind a few imperfections — you’ll feel right at home here.
