Unwind in the old-timey cedar rocking chairs on the spacious lower deck or on the Adirondack chairs of the upper deck and take in the breathtaking view of Pilot Mountain, the valley below, and a long-range view of the Piedmont.

Spend the afternoon fishing in one of the two ponds in our development, enjoy a picnic beside a covered bridge, climb waterfalls, enjoy a variety of things nearby: winery tours and tastings, historical icons such as Mabry Mill, horseback riding, hiking trails, Mayberry Days, Flea Markets, Wine Down the Music Trail, or just relax and do nothing at the cabin.

Motorcyclists and bikers will appreciate the paved driveways after a long ride enjoying the mountain scenery.

'Pilot's Perch'™ is the perfect log cabin stay for your romantic mountain get-away or quiet and peaceful vacation. This Fancy Gap cabin has it all so come make some wonderful memories!!

Pilot’s Perch utilizes three exterior surveillance cameras for surveillance reasons. They are unable to capture any interior images or any images on either deck. One is located on the front porch by the front door for the surveillance of entrances and exits of the cabin through the front door, possible wild life on the front porch and weather observations. The second is to the right of the exterior garage door on the lower driveway. The third is located near the road between the two driveways. They are for the surveillance of entrances and exits of the cabin through the front door, garage door, possible wild life, bypassing traffic and weather observations.
