The space
Escape to the Green Glade cabin — a cozy, two-bedroom mountain retreat nestled in Pennsylvania’s orchard country. Perfect for couples, small families, or solo travelers craving a peaceful glamping-style getaway with modern comforts and a rustic charm. Surrounded by trees and rolling hills, this cabin offers the simplicity of nature with the comfort of home.

Living Room

The living area offers plenty of lounging space with two fold-out sleeper sofas — one twin and one cot-sized. You’ll find fresh linens and bedding for each in the bedroom closet. There’s also a smart-positioning TV that sits behind one couch and can swivel to be viewed from anywhere in the room.

Fireplace

Enjoy the wood-burning fireplace for a truly cozy cabin feel. While we don’t supply firewood, we do provide Duraflame logs that offer the ambience and crackle of a fire without the fuss. If you’re experienced in building fires, you’re welcome to bring your own wood. The cabin is heated by both gas and electric sources.

Dining Area

The dining table is a drop-leaf style with seating for four. Two extra chairs are tucked inside the cabin for additional guests. It’s positioned in front of a sliding glass door — a great spot to enjoy nature or evening dinners.

Outdoor Deck

Wraparound deck covers ¾ of the cabin—perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, or dinner under the stars. Enjoy a gas grill and gas fire pit, perfect for easy outdoor meals and late-night conversations.

Family-Friendly Outdoor Area

Surrounded by trees, the yard features a children’s play area and plenty of open space to roam and unwind. Whether you’re roasting s’mores or watching fireflies, it’s the kind of place where memories are made.

Pet-Friendly Glamping

We’re thrilled to welcome your furry friends! This cabin is thoughtfully set up to keep your pets safe and comfortable:
• Gated back deck so your dog can relax off-leash
• If your pup stays close, no leash required
• For wanderers, please leash near neighbor’s property (across the road)

We believe glamping means comfort for all — including your pets!

Neighborhood Highlights

Bear Mountain is a quiet, wooded ridge with just one way in/out. The roads are gravel, not paved, and can be steep—AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended in winter months.

This area is ideal for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful escape from the city. You’ll be tucked into a private mountain neighborhood where the trees outnumber people, and stargazing is phenomenal.

Getting Around
• The driveway is C-shaped, allowing for easy pull-through and parking for up to 4 midsize vehicles.
• Expect some natural debris (like fallen branches or leaves)—we maintain regularly but nature does its thing!
• Our friendly neighbor lives across the mountain road but keeps to herself.
• For pet owners: There are deck gates to secure your pet safely on the back deck. If your dog stays close, no leash is needed—but please leash if your pet wanders, especially near neighboring property.

•. Travelers with pets

Guest access
Guest Access

• Private driveway and entrance
• Entire pull through driveway off-street parking
• Access to entire cabin & decks and Childrens play area
Other things to note
Please note: The cabin is on a gravel road maintained by the HOA. During the winter months, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended due to snow or ice. Guests are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is capable of winter mountain access.

Across the road lives a neighbor who keeps to herself, and we ask guests to be respectful of her space. If you’re traveling with pets, please note:
• Dogs should be leashed if they tend to wander—especially near neighboring properties.
• However, if your pup stays close and well-behaved, a leash isn’t required.
• We’ve installed gates on the back part of the deck, which can be secured to create a safe enclosed space for your dog—perfect for enjoying the mountain air leash-free!

We had an amazing weekend stay here! The host even had cute fall decorations out adding to the charm. Very pet friendly—-the gates on the deck and ability for our well behaved dog to be off leash were great perks. The cabin is well stocked with games and anything else you would need. My boyfriend enjoyed cooking burgers on the grill. Wonderful star gazing and the place is surrounded by orchards! So much to do in a small town. Adjacent to hiking and Gettysburg. Tons of golf in the area. Only wish we could’ve stayed longer!*We have an SUV, so we’re able to drive up the gravel road/driveway without issue. Would recommend 4WD/AWD if staying here.

I’m based in South Central Pennsylvania and love sharing peaceful, nature-connected spaces with travelers. Hosting gives me the chance to create relaxing getaways where people can slow down and enjoy time with loved ones—and maybe even disconnect for a bit. I enjoy building and designing cozy retreats that reflect the natural beauty of the area.

Why they chose this property

The Bear Mountain area is quiet, wooded, and feels like a true escape—yet it’s only 20 minutes from Gettysburg and close to trails, state parks, and orchards. I love that this spot feels tucked away but still accessible. The peaceful surroundings, wildlife, and sense of privacy drew me in. It’s a place where you can truly unwind and recharge.

What makes this property unique

The Green Glade is a cozy glamping-style cabin surrounded by forest and orchard views. It offers rustic charm with just the right amount of comfort—twinkle lights, a fireplace, a wraparound deck, and even a gated area for dogs. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, exploring nearby trails, or stargazing by the fire pit, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature.
