Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the place. Great cookware, games, and view. FYI: not necessary to put in review: Only thing missing were bedside lamps in 3 of the bedrooms.

We have been going to Black Butte Ranch as a family for forty years, including hosting our daughter’s wedding there. This house had no power on the 3rd floor (master suite) on a hot afternoon when we arrived. The A/C did not reach beyond the 1st floor. There was an additional portable unit in the master’s but wasn’t working because of the electrical issue. After checking the control panel, the breaker switch was loose and shorted out twice. We contacted property management and they said they would get an electrician out to see what was happening. It never happened. And we never received a call back after leaving another message. The place was very dusty and smelled of smoke (fireplace?). The kitchen cabinets were broken, the electrical outlets throughout the house would not hold plugs. The outdoor table was broken. There were spiders and webs all over. We even had them in the bed and sofa and got bit. For the amount we paid for a place that was rated as “exceptional” we felt the house was extremely lacking, it did have a nice view of a meadow and the butte. However it wasn’t much pleasure with everything else at the house. This has become a place for us to avoid in the future.

Hi Michael, I am sorry to hear that the home was not up to your expectations. It's unfortunate that we were never made aware of any of the bug issues, as we would have addressed them ASAP had we known. As for the electrical issue, we were told that the fuse was no longer shorting out and that it had only tripped the one time. We strive to give our guests exceptional service, and I am very sorry that you did not feel this was the case during your stay.
