Beautiful waterfront home for family, swimming, boating, relaxing, and fishing

2022 updates. The biggest update our neighborhood got fiber optic internet with 1gb speeds. Stream away with multiple devices. We have added new flooring and furniture to the upstairs bedrooms. Each bedroom upstairs now has a 43” smart TV to allow streaming. We have added an air fryer and blender to kitchen by request.

Big updates for 2021!!! New dock is coming and will be complete mid to late May. Dock will be twice as big with an upper deck, full covered bar on lower deck, refrigerator, and commercial ice maker. Pictures coming soon it will be top notch. All new living room furniture and flooring on lower level (pictures soon). Outdoor ping pong table.

Location, Location, Location. This beautiful lake front home is located only 5 minutes from the food lion shopping center, 3 minutes from the Point bar and restaurant, Water-view restaurant, and Morning Star marina (boat ramp). House is basically in the middle of the lake, one house off the point with great main lake views, without the main lake wake and waves. Makes for easy for boat docking and swimming off dock literally no boat traffic. Dock features an upper and lower deck with 9 feet of water depth, great for swimming and awesome fishing right from the dock. Plenty of room to tie your boat up on the dock and we also have a second smaller dock boats can be tied off. Large screened in porch with fans that offers great area to relax and enjoy the view, there is also a smaller porch with a table for 4 that is great for breakfast and lunch. Large spacious living room with 65" TV with direct TV satellite. Kitchen is nicely appointed and allows you lake views while you cook and eat your meals. The majority of your basic condiments and kitchen basics are included. Master suite has queen size bed 43" TV, and a great bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and stand up shower with multiple jets. 2nd bedroom upstairs features 2 queen beds, 3rd bedroom has 2 singles with an upper level deck with great views, and a bar top with 2 chairs. Washer and dryer on the main floor and detergent will be included. 2 paddle boards, 2 Kayaks ,large splash (6'x20') mat for floating, and various board games are included with rental. Several I-Phone and Android charges are available. Fiber optic internet . Linens and bath towels will be provide at no charge. Guest will be required to wash linens and towels before departure or incur a service fee. We do not supply beach towels, life jackets, or floats. May be a few floats, but the tend to get damaged and we can’t guarantee they will be available.

Family vacation

We loved this trip and house! The kayaks and paddle boards got a lot of use, and the location was great. Hardly any other traffic in the cove, which was nice.

Best of Lake Gaston!

We had the most amazing time! The dock is amazing, and we spent most of our time there. The TV down there was perfect for movies at night.The house was adorable, very clean and had everything we could need. The owners were amazing as well!

Wonderful Home and Locatoin

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location on the lake is excellent. We took full advantage of the dock for fishing and relaxing. Nice that there were rafts and floats available. The house is nicely equipped, there are many staples available in the kitchen for guest use. We will definately return to this home on our next Lake Gaston trip!

By far, this was one of the best vacation spots ever. This property far exceeded our expectations. September was the perfect time with lots of sunshine, warm lake, and very quiet! The dock is absolutely fantastic and most of our week was spent relaxing on it. The owners provided use of 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards which we thoroughly enjoyed. Rented a jet ski for an afternoon and explored the lake admiring all the beautiful homes & docks. Found a few cute spots to eat and toured the Weldon Mills Distillery in Roanoke Rapids. Kacee & Mike are perfect hosts and we are anxious to plan our next vacation there.

Family Vacation

Lake Gaston is our number one getaway and this property did not disappoint. The house was beautiful and well equipped. The views were phenomenal and we couldn’t have asked for a better boathouse. Best everything

This was probably the best vacation we have been on as a family. The location is perfect and I don’t think the kids ever wanted to get out of the lake. The kayaks and paddle boards were perfect and so much fun. The dock is beautiful and the location is so peaceful and relaxing. The house has everything you need and more. Great family vacation at Lake Gaston

This was our families first time at Lake Gaston. We were extremely happy with our stay. The house is located in a great location. The Food Lion Grocery store is five mins away as well as the local ice cream shop. We also rented a boat from the Eaton Marina. There is even a miniature golf course about 12 mins away. The location is perfect! The house and boat dock are also amazing. We have three boys 13,10 and 7 and they we’re swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding or relaxing on the splash mat non stop. Even if the day is 95 degrees the fans at the dock and shad make it cool enough to relax all day outside. The owners were super helpful and responsive to any questions or issues we might have had during our stay. We recommend this rental and will be back.

Owners thought of all kinds of amenities for a family. Amazing boat dock, great kayaks and lots of shade on the brand new dock. Whole family loved it!

Great vacation property

The house is in a perfect spot in a sheltered cove just off the main lake. It has a beautiful boat house/dock that allowed us to tie up out boat for convenient daily access. Fishing was great from the dock (big catfish, lots of sunfish and perch, one 31” gar). You can swim off the dock in deep water (7-12’) without worry about fast boat traffic or big waves. There is a marina (launch, gas, restaurant) within a 3 minute boat ride and 5 minute by car. Cell service and Internet isn’t great, but we got there before the high-speed Internet was due to be connected. The owners provided a nice welcome basket with wines, coffees, and snacks. There were also a lot of spices, salad dressings, and condiments we could use. Kitchen is fully equipped. I would highly recommend this property for a small family vacation spot. We’d definitely return again if it is still available for rental next year.

Great Lake place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Lake Gaston. The hosts were accommodating and the house was perfect for a week at the lake. Only complaint was poor internet but who needs that at the lake anyhow (and the area is on deck for getting high speed soon). Boat dock was great and we were able to tie up our boat without trouble all week. Fishing off the dock was fun for the kids and the accessibility to the lake was great.

This is our fourth summer staying at this property and we always have a wonderful time. The location is perfect; deep water, close to the marina and grocery store located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. We loved the new dock and interior updates. Highly recommend.

Hillside Drive Lake House

This was our 10th year coming to Lake Gaston for our vacation with our daughter and family! Our grandson loved fishing off the pier and had caught a large catfish within 30 minutes of arriving!! We love to be out on the lake boating and this house has the best location- very centrally located !! Thankfully the Hurricane hit during the night, and the next day was perfect so we were able to enjoy everyday there!! The house is wonderful with a nice screened porch and has great main lake views with the protection of being in a cove!

Relaxing Week at the Lake

What a wonderful week. The property was charming and right on the water, just off the lake. During the heat of the midday sun, it was nice to just be able to jump off the end of the dock to cool off. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans for meal prep and cooking and the refrigerator was big enough to hold a weeks worth of food and drink. The screened in porch with ceiling fans was a highlight of the trip to sit and read a book or watch the boats drive by. The internet was a bit slow for streaming. For the most part we just left our devices disconnect, but this allowed us to focus on our vacation and not be checking in at work. In planning our trip, Kacee and Mike were very responsive and had suggestions for shopping and boat rentals and left a nice welcome basket with snacks, coffee and wine. It was the perfect lakeside location to relax with friends and enjoy a week away from it all.

A little slice of paradise!

What a fabulous find! This little slice of paradise was exactly what we needed thanks to COVID-19. The most quiet (except our two grandchildren having a not-so-quiet, blast), serene, fun, perfect boating lake we could have found! The house was perfect for the six of us with plenty of room, the screened porch, kayaks, paddle boards, floating Lilly pad and two story dock the kids jumped off made this an even better place than just a simple boat dock! This is already marked FAVORITE and we will be looking to book our next vacation there soon! Thanks Mike and Kacee for a great vacation!

Great vacation spot!

This was our second summer here and we once again greatly enjoyed the property. Excellent location near the main lake with calm water nearby for wake boarding and surfing. Deep water at the dock for swimming and floating around. House also provided kayaks and paddle boards which we used daily. Owners are super easy to work with. Hope to be back next year.

Hi I am Mike and my wife is Kacee. We live just south of Richmond VA in Chester. We are about an hour and twenty minutes from our new home at lake Gaston and love to come down as much as possible.

Why they chose this property

We had just finished eating lunch (Lake Gaston Pizza delicious) after looking at properties with our realtor. We decided to ride around by ourselves and look at properties in person that we were somewhat interested in. After several stops with nothing of interest, I said to my wife I want to go look at this house on Hillside Dr. I knew the house was listed much higher than we wanted to spend, but I was just curious to look in person. As soon as we pulled up we knew this was our new home.

What makes this property unique

Property is just the right size. The lot is wider than long so the house is very close to water and you have over 200 ft of water frontage. Lots of water depth right off dock, at end of dock water is at least 8-9" deep great for swimming, fishing, and getting boats in.

Location: house is situated in the middle of the lake, easy access to either end of the lake by boat, or car. We love the fact we can jump on our boat and be at the Point restaurant and bar literally in a couple of minutes to watch bands playing every weekend or grab a quick bite to eat and a drink.
