The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. (The beds are WONDERFUL.) I enjoyed being right by Main Street with all the shops as well as having a comfortable, private deck overlooking an expansive backyard with a river. Kellie was very responsive. For instance, I didn’t know how mini-splits work, exactly, so needed help turning the heat on. If you plan to cook, be sure to bring everything you might need because there aren’t any basic condiments like, salt, pepper or oil. That’s on me for assuming any thing. :-) I could have easily brought some from home but didn’t think about it.I would definitely stay here again.

It was a gorgeous home and very relaxing stay. There was so much taken care of for us we didn’t have to leave if we didn’t want to. All in all a wonderful place and a wonderful stay! Thank you!

This was a beautiful cottage. It is right on the Doe River and it was so relaxing to sit on the back deck and listen to the water. It is walking distance to the covered bridge and all the shops in Elizabethton. It was clean and the hosts were very friendly and responsive with some questions we had. I would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed in this nicely remodeled house the month of January. Loved how they preserved some of the original parts of this house. Our stay was pleasant and host were exceptional and responded quickly to questions and needs. It’s a beautiful location by the river that is easy to access for fishing. I give this stay a five star.

Great location and nicely redone historic home, just missing basic amenities. Ex. Not enough bath towels, no hand towels, pot holders, etc.

Hi Lucy! I apologize you didn’t find what you need! Our bath towels and hand towels are in the drawer in the bathroom. We also have pot holders, and kitchen towels in drawers in the kitchen. I ran up to the cottage this evening and made sure they hadn’t been taken, and all are here 👍🏼 I snapped pictures of all the items, but it doesn’t seem I am able to attach here.
