Very spacious and nice proximity to the action of Reno but still a quiet street. We went to a delicious Mediterranean restaurant walking distance called “The Jesse” highly recommended.

Thank you much for a good review Ms. Hicks. I am looking forward for your next visit Reno again and stay with us at Historic Reno Home. Thank you.
The property is a great value and met our stay needs. The kitchen and the home were stocked with basics and could use more pots and bowls. I really appreciated the laundry option. Overall, happy with the property and we were comfortable.
Just what we needed - quiet, clean, more than enough room and bedding for all of our family. And the price was unbeatable. It was a great stay. Thanks.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. You took good care of the house. You are welcome back at any time.
Great location ... Good communication... My concerns were safety related the front stairs definitely needed handrails and the banister upstairs is very loose and unsafe. Water pressure needs to be fixed in the shower. Other than that everything was pretty good, nice and cool. It has room air conditioners in each room with remotes which was a major plus in my opinion.
Host was very welcoming and helpful and provided prompt and thorough communication. The house was located in a central area and was very comfortable with excellent climate control. Nice large television and bath tub with shower. There is a train that runs through about 100 ft from the house, but no later than 10pm. Would definitely recommend this rental and stay here again!
Thank you so much for making your home available to us. We were in town for a livestock event and it was great to have a comfy house to come back to each day and it was great to be able to cook some meals instead of living off take out. I was super excited to see the rice cooker! The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cooking equipment, and utensils so fixing a meal was easy. We ran to Winco (about 10 min away) to get groceries for the weekend. There is an active railroad close by (however I don’t think the trains are very frequent) so if you’re not expecting it (like my girls weren’t) it can scare the bajeezus out of you when it rolls through lol.
Kitchen was not fully equipped - Needs to have mixing bowls , a crockpot would be nice ( had a rice cooker) There is no ice machine or ice trays to make ice. Some basic everyday pantry items would be good, Salt & pepperCooking oil (olive or vegetable)Tea & sugarA few basic spices (garlic powder, paprika)Aluminum foil & plastic wrapColander (for pasta)Most cookware looked to have been purchase 2nd hand. Bed on lower floor was like sleeping on a flat hard rock ( suggest adding a medium-firm topper) Also window blinds and window sills need to be cleaned.Living room furnishing could be a bit more comfortable - switch out period love seat for a couple soft plush chairs. All in all it was good and closed to where we needed to be for location. Small touches will go a long away in keeping this place a real charm.

This historic home was perfect for our needs while staying in town for a Basketball tournament. Easy location for Ubers to and from the convention center. Air conditioning and the space was very clean. Washer and dryer came in handy for washing sweaty uniforms. Thank you !

About the host
Hosted by Marie & Bruce
Hello, My husband and I purchased this house so my daughter has had place to live during her college school at the UNR 8 minutes away from the house. Now she graduated and got her master's degree and dicided to get married and move somewhere else with her husband, left the house empty. She married and now she has her own life. So my husband and I decided to try and do a short time rental. Being a host is a journey of ups in down. It is not easy, specially we just manage this our own. We live 1 hour away to the house and everytime our guest checked out we have to rush drive to prepare this house to for the next guest clean it and make sure evetything is in order. We want to make sure everything is clean and smells good. We don't mind how far it is just to make our guest comfortable and satisfied in their stay. We never leave any single day that the house is not smell good and in order and clean we just care for our guest. It is self rewarding to know our guest is satisfied and happy we loving it when people is happy and contented with their stay, and that is our goal.
