Warm & comfortable living space
You’ll enter from the spacious covered deck that wraps around two sides of the house. Inside, an entry area provides plenty of room for coats, boots, and gear.
The entry opens into the vaulted living and dining room, where you’ll find a table that seats six, a loveseat that pulls out into a full-size bed (great for kids, though a bit short for adults), a TV, and entertainment options for your enjoyment.
Around the corner is the fully equipped kitchen, stocked with everything you need for cooking. We love to cook and want you to have the tools you need—if you notice anything missing, please let me know and I’ll be happy to pick it up.
Beyond the kitchen, a small hallway leads to the first-floor bathroom and the stairs to the two upstairs bedrooms. The bathroom features a full-sized shower and a combo washer-dryer best suited for small loads. For larger laundry needs, we recommend Fairbanks Laundry.
Upstairs are two bedrooms of equal size, each with a queen bed. Both feature a special window positioned so you can check the sky for northern lights without stepping outside.
During the warmer months, the porch offers a dining table with chairs, a couch, and a cozy seating area on the smaller side section—perfect for enjoying the scenery with a meal or cup of coffee. Behind the house, you’ll find several acres of public land with a few peaceful trails to explore.
Step outside and soak in the serene winter landscape — sparkling snow, crisp air, and peaceful surroundings ideal for relaxing, winter walks, or just sipping your morning coffee with a magical view.
Whether you're here to unwind in a tranquil winter escape or enjoy local outdoor adventures, this cozy home offers the warmth, comfort, and amenities you need for a memorable stay.
Come experience the beauty of winter — with all the comforts of home.
Guest access
Guests have full, private access to the entire two-bedroom, one-bathroom house, including a covered porch — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You'll also have dedicated parking for up to three vehicles and an exterior outlet to plug in one vehicle during your stay in the winter. Carport is not available this winter. You will need an All Wheel Drive or Four Wheel Drive vehicle to access the property in the winter.
While there is another full-time residence on the property, only a small portion of the driveway is shared. We kindly ask that you be respectful when coming and going to ensure a peaceful experience for everyone.
Other things to note:
You may spot local wildlife during your stay — moose are sometimes seen wandering through the property. If you’re lucky enough to see one, please enjoy the experience from a safe distance and give them plenty of space. They’ll typically move along on their own.
