“The Little Dipper” was such a fun and unique stay! The pictures were exactly accurate—it’s a very tiny space, but perfect for two. When we first arrived, we had a little trouble getting the door open, but the host was there within five minutes and quickly helped us out.The hot tub was a highlight, and the private patio was perfect for relaxing and watching deer wander by. The location was excellent, with Fern Clyffe, Garden of the Gods, and Thrillville all within an hour.A couple of small improvements could make it even better, like adding an outdoor water station for easier cooking and dishwashing, and replacing the weathered lawn chairs. Also, the gravel parking area is a bit steep, so be sure to use your parking brake.Overall, we loved our stay. It was cozy, affordable, and a great base for exploring Southern Illinois. We’d definitely stay again!
Great little stay and the host was very kind and communicative. My husband and I were in the area for a family wedding and needed a quiet spot to land between all of the obligations. This place was so quaint and relaxing, and the hot tub was a plus.
