Welcome to a relaxed coastal retreat in the heart of Oxnard’s Silver Strand Beach—designed for memorable stays, easy comfort, and classic Southern California beach vibes. Just 175 steps from the beach (~8 houses), this fully equipped home blends vintage charm (built in 1956) with thoughtful modern upgrades for a comfortable stay.

Strand N Sea is a charming beach bungalow perfect for families, couples, and small groups of six or fewer, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the shore. Designed for relaxation and fun, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation home blends comfort with everything you need to fully enjoy beach life. If you work remotely we have portable desks and WiFi.

Spend your days riding the provided bikes, catching waves with surfboards, flying kites, or playing spikeball and volleyball. After a day in the sun, unwind in the hot tub or gather around the fire pits to keep warm and share stories under the stars. Inside, you’ll find an Xbox and a selection of board games for cozy nights in.

Strand N Sea offers onsite parking for two vehicles. For added peace of mind, security cameras are located in the carport and front patio areas.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
You must pick up after your dog feces and wash down urine daily.
If you decide to use barbecue, please turn off the gas to the barbecue when finished. If used, leave the cover off underneath in the cabinet so we know to clean it for the next guest.
Leaving excessive trash in the house or in the yard, may result in additional cleaning fees.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is quiet, with a few other vacation rentals on the street and many long time residents who are neighbors by chance and friends by choice. So be pleasant, say hello and be a good neighbor too as our guest.

You will experience beautiful sunsets over the Channel Islands (approximately 11 miles offshore). You may hear the fog horn or seals barking in the harbor too. in the mornings, you will hear music from the US Navy Base Ventura County a few doors away, as they signal the start of the workday by raising the American flag. Later at about sunset, evening colors music with a bugle, signals the end of the workday and the lowering of the flag.
