About this property
Country View Cabin: Wi-Fi, U-Driveway. Garage. Mins to lake/trails. Relaxation.
Welcome to your cozy Maine getaway—where the pines are towering, the Wi-Fi is reliable (really!), and the only "deadline" is the rhythm of the local woodpecker.
Ever wanted to live in a Hallmark movie—minus the dramatic breakup? This is your spot. Tucked away on over an acre of beautiful woods, our cabin is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. It’s designed for those who want to feel like an outdoorsy explorer while mostly looking for a premium spot to nap.
The primary bedroom is your ultimate cozy retreat, featuring a plush queen bed, a relaxing recliner, and warm reading lights. Unwind at the end of the day by the glow of your own private electric fireplace.
The second bedroom, officially dubbed "The Fort" Room, is outfitted with a twin-over-double bunk bed. It is a slumber party headquarters for kids, but we won’t tell if adults use it to hide, too.
The Chef’s Corner: Our kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, fridge, freezer, and all the cookware you need to whip up hearty post-adventure meals. It is the perfect setup for everything from pancake breakfasts to late-night snacks.
The Coffee & Tea Bar: Brew a fresh cup at our dedicated coffee and tea bar—because "roughing it" should never, ever include caffeine withdrawal. Whether you need a strong morning kickstart before hitting the trails or a soothing evening blend, we have your daily rituals covered.
Your Private Oasis: Step outside onto your private deck, where you are completely surrounded by peaceful forest views. Furnished with outdoor furniture, it is the perfect spot for sipping your morning coffee or getting lost in a good book. In the evening, fire up the charcoal grill for a classic woodland cookout under the stars.
The "No-Stress" Driveway: Struggle with backing up trailers? We’ve got you. Our horseshoe driveway lets you enter on one road and exit on the other without ever touching the reverse gear.
Gear Heaven: The Mud Room is a big space designed specifically so you don't track the entire Maine forest into the living room. The floor is concrete, perfect for all your muddy fishing and hiking gear. We even have hangers specifically made to hang your fishing poles.
The one car garage is a secure place to keep your "toys" (boats, ATVs, or snowmobiles) safe and dry. Because nobody likes a soggy jet ski.
Exterior Security: Smile, you’re on camera! For your protection and our property's security, we utilize exterior HD video coverage across all outdoor areas. This ensures a safe, secure, and drama-free environment for everyone. Please note: all cameras are strictly outdoors to ensure your total privacy inside.
Trails galore! Perched right at the corner of Schoodic Lake Road and Spencer Road, our cabin is basically the capital of Central Maine’s trail kingdom. Forget trailering your rigs anywhere—just park, unhook, and ride straight from the driveway into either road and jump on hundreds of miles of interconnected trails. Whether you're here to turn yourself into a human snowman on the winter trails, get a free mud facial on your ATV in the summer, or hike until your GPS gives up, the starting line is literally minutes down either road.
The stunning Schoodic Lake and amazing trails are just up the road. Whether you’re looking to catch a trophy fish, hit the trails, or just stand in a field and scream into the void, you’ve officially found the right place.

About the host
Hosted by Matt and Tanya Rogalski
Originally from Western Mass, we decided to swap regular traffic for moose-related traffic in Maine. It turns out, "ease" here means having to decide between fishing, hiking, riding, or just staring at a tree for three hours. We’ve been here four years and have fully embraced the lifestyle: woods, water, snow, and shopping in small towns. Come visit, you’ll love it—just remember to bring bug spray and maybe a flannel.
Why they chose this property
Looking for a place to disappear where the only "notifications" you’ll get are from a confused woodpecker? (Just kidding, we have Wi-Fi). Welcome to Brownville. We’re the ultimate retreat for anyone whose nervous system is currently vibrating at the frequency of a dial-up modem. If you like engines and mud, we’ve got trails for side-by-sides and snowmobiles that will help you outrun your responsibilities. If you prefer your cardio without a motor, we have hiking trails where the only thing following you is a sense of impending peace (and maybe a very curious squirrel). Then there’s Schoodic Lake—a body of water so versatile it refuses to take a season off. In the summer, you can swim in it; in the winter, you can walk on it and stare into a hole in the ice until you forget your own zip code. Whether you’re here to aggressively relax in total silence or find a new way to get mud on your favorite boots, Brownville has something for everyone. Come for the quiet, stay because you accidentally drove your snowmobile into a snowbank and this is your life now.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is a home away from home—mostly because you’ll still be doing dishes, but now with a better view. We’ve got a full kitchen, a bathroom (yes, indoor plumbing!), and two bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a private deck overlooking the woods, perfect for drinking your coffee in silence before the kids wake up. We’re on a corner lot with a two-way gravel driveway (Schoodic Lake Rd. or Spencer Rd.), which is code for: "You don't have to back up a trailer while your spouse yells directions at you." There’s a large mudroom to trap all the dirt/gear/smells before they hit the living room, and a giant cherry tree out front that provides enough shade to hide under while the kids burn off their energy in the yard. It’s rustic, it’s cozy, and it’s significantly cheaper than therapy.
