This house was perfect for bringing our family together for our 20 year wedding anniversary. We had plenty of room for everyone and really enjoyed the screened in porch. The location was within walking distance to shopping and restaurant. Highly recommend!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
First the good points -Location is great - close to shops, public pool, beach, etc. Front porch is great - look at the ocean, quiet area.Roominess is great - lots of bedrooms. Now the bad points -Absolutely filthy, paint pealing, crud around faucets, floors are filthy, beds had sand in them, kitchen is absolutely disgusting. With it being a 120 year old house I should have expected it to be sub sub sub par. Our grandkids loved it because it was such a unique house. So we made the best of it. If you have small children that put things into their mouths you might want to consider another place. Paint has to have lead in it. I would NOT recommend this to anyone unless they are not expecting much in way of cleanliness.

Quaint and charming
My family enjoyed our stay in this home. It’s close to the ocean and the front porch was an added attraction. It’s within walking distance of downtown, but unfortunately it rained everyday but one, so couldn’t take advantage of that benefit. Plenty of parking and everything in the house was in good working order.

Such a Special Place
Our family has been staying in the Thompson Cottage for years - it is PERFECT FOR US. While it does have some unique "charming qualities" as a historic home, all in all it is an absolute gem. We love the view from the porch and the easy access to the beach. Being able to walk to so many shops and restaurants is incredibly convenient. The amount of family that is able to stay under one roof is one of the best gifts the cottage has to offer. We enjoyed booking through iTrip and appreciated Ben's quick responses to our questions and needs. We cannot recommend the Thompson Cottage enough (but we're hesitant to do so because we don't want it to become so popular that we cannot book it for our 2 weeks in the summer!).
