With room for up to 8 guests, a private dock, a sauna, a wood-burning fireplace, and a spacious deck overlooking the water, this contemporary chalet is designed for the kind of getaway you'll want to repeat. Whether you're paddling out at sunrise or unwinding by the fire after a day in the Berkshires, this is your place to slow down and be present.



The Space:

From the moment you step inside, The Lakeside Chalet welcomes you with soaring ceilings, warm wood details, and an abundance of natural light. The open living area is anchored by a wood-burning fireplace and a skylight overhead, the kind of space that feels just as good on a crisp fall evening as it does on a lazy summer afternoon. Sliding glass doors connect the living room directly to the deck, where views of Longbow Lake through the trees set a peaceful, unhurried tone.



The kitchen is well-equipped and functional, flowing naturally into the dining area, a comfortable setup for cooking and gathering together. The home sleeps up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and a den, arranged as follows:



Primary Suite (upstairs), King bed. Two additional bedrooms - one with a queen bed, one with two twins. Den/Office, full-size futon, ideal as a flexible sleeping space or quiet retreat.



Step outside to a large deck perfect for morning coffee, al fresco dining, or simply watching the light change over the water. A path leads directly from the backyard lawn down to your private dock, ideal for kayaking, fishing, or just sitting at the edge of the lake. Back inside, the sauna adds a restorative touch that makes every stay feel like a true escape.

The Neighborhood:

Becket is a quiet and scenic town in the heart of the Berkshires, one of New England's most beloved destinations for arts, nature, and four-season recreation.



Just minutes away, Jacob's Pillow draws visitors from around the world for its world-renowned dance performances and vibrant summer programming. Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is a short 25-minute drive. The Berkshires theater scene adds even more to the cultural calendar, with acclaimed stages and performances throughout the warmer months.



For outdoor enthusiasts, Ski Butternut is under 30 minutes away and Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort is about 45 minutes, offering winter slopes for all levels. The surrounding trails, lakes, and backroads make spring, summer, and fall equally rewarding.



Longbow Lake itself is a small, calm, motorboat-free body of water, ideal for kayaking, paddling, and fishing, all in a setting that never feels crowded or rushed.

Notes & Disclaimers:



Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, beavers, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash.



Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow.



Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.



AC: There is 1 ductless mini-split AC unit that services the primary bedroom on the 2nd floor.



Pets: We’re happy to welcome your pup to the home. There’s a $150 fee + tax for the first dog and $50 + tax for each additional one. If you’re planning to bring more than one, please reach out to us before completing your booking so we can get everything set up for you. For everyone’s comfort, we kindly ask that dogs stay leashed outdoors and that you clean up after them. Please note that cats aren’t permitted due to allergy concerns. Any pet-related damages may result in additional charges.



EV Charger: Available upon request for $40 per stay. The Emporia Pro Level-2 EV charger installed has a 9.6 kW maximum power and a Tesla/NACS connector. It can also charge cars with other plug types (e.g.: CCS/J1772), however you will need to supply your own plug adapter. Please let us know prior to arrival so we can have it ready for you.



Long Bow Lake: This property has private access to Long Bow lake. While we openly advertise the lake access feature, please mind that:

- There is no life guard on duty at the lake.

- We have no control over the quality of the water at any given time, and the Sherwood Green Association may deem it necessary to limit access to the lake if the testing results require so, without prior notice.

- While we do not prohibit ice-fishing in the lake during the winter months, we definitely do not encourage it for safety reasons! Please assess any risks and consider your group's safety before ice-fishing at the lake.



Maximum occupancy: Please mind that this house can host a maximum of 7 guests per fire code. As per the fire department, infants are included in that number. Therefore, any infants included in the booking above maximum occupancy of 7 would unfortunately result in the reservation being cancelled.



Cancellation Policy: We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy. Please consider traveler’s insurance.
