Delightful Creek stay
This was a wonderful place to stay. A perfectly sweet house with a fabulous deck for relaxing and gazing into the evenings. Delightful trails that lead to the waters edge for high tide and low tide exploring. Incredible sunsets!

Paradise in penobscot
This older family home is located on several acres of beautiful land with path leading to the beach on penobscot Bay. We loved every minute of it.
Spacious cottage on large shorefront property. Relaxing and beautiful. 10 minutes from Castine and Maine Maritime Academy. Cozy, clean and comfortable.

Beautiful location!
A lovely location with a roomy deck overlooking the bay. Perfect fall weather for our stay! The house is very comfortable and cozy, and very clean! The upstairs king bed where we slept was great and the room spacious😊
The kitchen is well stocked and seemed to have what you’d need if you were cooking there. We would return👍

Creek Visit
The view over the bay is spectacular and calming. Not a far drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The whole coastal area is busy so getting back to the quiet house is very nice. This is an older house, lots of white pine but has everything you could need. So glad we booked it. Would have liked a gas fire pit on the rear deck but you can’t have everything.
The location was exceptional, check in was super easy and the house was clean and tidy. The house is exactly as pictured, but the photos do not do the location any justice. If I would have known how amazing it was, I would have planned a full day just to walk around the land and water area. There were literally thousands of fireflies at night (really, it was magical!) and a momma and a fawn walked through the yard in the morning. You will love your stay here!
Conveniently located near MMA. Nicely equipped, clean house. So appreciate that the house is pet friendly. Sometimes worry that pet friendly places will smell like dog ( pet friendly hotel rooms are the worst). Not this house. Very well maintained. Yard and rocky beach are beautiful. Very easy check-in. Loved the back deck, stargazing at night was beautiful. Lots of wildlife; saw deer every evening and an eagle. Thank you for a great family stay.

Private and peaceful
Plenty of room. Peace and quiet. Only an hour from Acadia. If weather is to be hot, the upstairs 2 bedrooms would be uncomfortable. The bedroom downstairs has A/C but the 2 upstairs do not. Beds are comfy and house is well stocked.

Perfect spot!
This house was perfect for a get-a-way, but also close enough to Acadia and other points of interest. It was right on the water, and the view was lovely.
The house was SO well-stocked, with games, books, four TVs, strong wifi, - there was nothing extra we needed to bring. Plus there was tons of room to run around outside. And the deck furniture was perfect to sit and drink our morning coffee!
During the summer, it does get hot, so if you're sleeping in the small bedroom, bring a fan or two (there is AC in the main bedrooms upstairs and downstairs).
We had a great time, and would definitely stay here again!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this gorgeous property! The views were stunning and incredibly relaxing, and the house itself is beautifully charming – it truly feels like a well-loved home. We particularly enjoyed the artwork throughout, which we believe was created by the homeowner. The space was perfect for our mini-family reunion of seven people. Our six-year-old loved the couch, though we adults found it a bit less comfortable and opted to sit elsewhere – that would be our only minor suggestion for improvement. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. We'd love to return in the future! A special mention for Chuck and Mary, who we had the pleasure of meeting – such lovely, welcoming people.Highly recommended!

Penobscot bay Camp house
The home is exactly as pictured. The location was perfect for us--only about 10 mins to Maine Maritime Academy and only about 10-15 mins back out to Bucksport/RT. 1. Loved having 2 king beds and having a bedroom on the first floor. The back deck was perfect for relaxing and had views of the Penobscot River/bay area. It was cool to see the porcupine come visit the crabapple tree every evening. While the house was off the road and not visible, there is road noise that is more noticeable in the evening(for those light sleepers) and has more to do with the geography of the area.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Irene! We’re thrilled to hear that the home met your expectations and that you enjoyed the perfect location for your visit to Maine Maritime Academy. It’s great to know that you appreciated the two king beds and the convenience of having a bedroom on the first floor.
We’re glad you found the back deck relaxing and enjoyed the beautiful views of the Penobscot River. It sounds like a delightful experience to see the porcupine visiting the crabapple tree!
We appreciate your feedback regarding the road noise, especially for light sleepers. Your insights are valuable, and we will keep this in mind for future guests.
Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back for another stay in the future!

Perfect House in Beautiful Spot
We had a wonderful stay in this seaside home. By far the best thing about the house is the location on the Penobscot Bay. We spent hours exploring the shore (especially the tidal pools at low tide), looking for sea glass, and just relaxing. Even though there is a lot to do locally, the house is also an easy day trip to Acadia National Park or the Camden/Rockland area (both about an hour away) which is great. The house itself was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings with our coffee and then eating dinner there in the evenings. There was lots of grassy space for dogs and kids to play and run around. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of really nice quality towels. Overall, a great house in a beautiful part of Maine. I would definitely stay again.
This is a delightful property with all the amenities you need to enjoy a retreat from the hustle and bustle of just about anywhere else! The bedrooms are large and accommodating. The kitchen is well appointed with completely functional appliances, including microwave and gas stove top (which I prefer). The living room dining room is well furnished, cozy and comfortable. If you desire there is the ability to log on to just about any streaming service you are subscribed to (Hulu, Netflix, Prime, Disney, etc...). In addition, the house is situated almost directly center of a large, several acre lot that is wooded on the road side and with a grass field that leads you to the Penobscot Bay. The well cut paths were wonderful to stroll on and enjoy the scenery of the Bay, especially the old rusted fishing boat just down the shoreline that makes for good pirate stories!
All in all, this was a great place to recharge our inner batteries and share old times and stories as we got together for such a solemn but also joyous celebration of our father's life!
