The home and location were lovely. The home was spacious, the kitchen and shower remodel were really well done, and the peace and quiet were exceptional. The home is in Horse Cove, a quiet, out of the way part of the Highlands plateau area that sits in the shadow of Blackrock Mountain, part of the Whiteside Mountian escarpment. The home is close to Highlands and Cashiers but away from the hustle and bustle. The best part is you can turn out of the driveway and get to some of the most beautiful, peaceful trails and waterfalls in the area within 5-20 minutes. With no WiFi, a weak phone signal, it’s a wonderful place to disconnect, calm the noise of the world, and recover yourself.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We're thrilled you found the home to be the perfect peaceful retreat in Horse Cove, and that the recent kitchen and shower updates added to your comfort. It sounds like you discovered exactly what makes this location so special, with those incredible trails and waterfalls right at your doorstep and the chance to truly unplug and reconnect. We'd absolutely love to welcome you back whenever you need to escape and recharge. The VueStay Team

We would have appreciated written rules and instructions ie no use of fire place. Shower situation in one of bedrooms was odd with no shower liner thus a sopping wet shower curtain. No microwave was a disappointment but not deal breaker, did not appreciate having to carry out our trash would have preferred to leave on property. Wet linens in washing machine from previous renter was unpleasant. That said the location was great and we enjoyed sitting outside on the porch.
