*** Please note additional fees for more than 2 guests *** Enjoy the warmth and restorative simplicity of true log cabin living while pampering the body with organic toiletries and luxurious bath and bed linens. The sound of the waterfall, the ducks milling about on the ponds, and the quiet rhythm of life on the farm is wonderful for relaxing the mind and body.
Located just 10 miles west of Brevard, North Carolina, this beautiful log cabin is part of Falling water Farm, a private equestrian estate that is nestled in its own secluded valley. The property sits on forty seven acres, most of which has been purposely left undisturbed, ensuring space for local wildlife and privacy for the farm. The cabin's large picture windows frame meticulously maintained pastures bordered by streams and springs that flow into a pond located directly in front of the cabin. The covered porch overlooks a waterfall that is beautiful to look at and soothing to hear, especially as one drifts off to sleep. Come morning, enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the horses graze and the ducks dabble for their breakfast on the pond. Guests are welcome to walk the property and meet the horses.
The cabin has an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living room area. This design feature takes full advantage of the floor-to-ceiling windows to offer unrestricted views and a feeling of connection with the land and life that surround the cabin. The living room is tastefully furnished with a couch and two armchairs. For entertainment, there is a flat screen television, a DVD player, and unlimited internet via fiber optic for streaming TV or surfing the web.
The master suite downstairs has a king size bed, walk in closet, and private bath. The soothing sound of the water is particularly nice in this bedroom. Upstairs is a roomy loft area with another full bath, a queen bed as well as two single beds. One of the single beds can be collapsed and moved out of the way if not needed. The cabin is air conditioned and separate temperature controls in the master bedroom, loft, and great room ensure maximum comfort year-round.
The Kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric range, refrigerator with an ice maker, dishwasher, blender, and coffee maker. There is also a stacked washer and dryer unit. Additionally there is a barbecue grill and outside dining area located behind the cabin in its private yard. Access to the property is private, entry is via an electric gate. Guests are assigned a unique entry code prior to their arrival.
Located just off of Hwy 64, we are convenient to Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway, and Highlands to the West, Brevard and Hendersonville to the East, Asheville to the north, and the upstate of South Carolina to the South. All of these locations have a lot to offer from great restaurants to great antiquing. The major hubs of Atlanta to the south and Charlotte to the east are both only 2 1/2 hours drive away.
Transylvania county is the land of waterfalls and hiking, biking, cycling, and sightseeing destinations are literally only minutes away. For hikers and mountain bikers, Jocassee State Park is only 2.3 miles down the road and for cyclists there are miles of bike routes all through Transylvania county. Should fly fishing, tubing, or kayaking interest you, both the Davidson river and the French Broad Rivers are just minutes away. For the horse enthusiast, there are several stables in the area that offer trail rides, but reservations are a must. We are also close to DuPont State Forest, Pisgah State Forest, and Caesars Head State Park. The Biltmore Estate with its winery, grounds, and gardens in Asheville is only 35 miles north.
Because of the numerous water features and four legged animals already on the property, we are unable to accommodate pets or small children. But if you are looking for a place geared towards the adult traveler, Falling Water Farm is for you.

Beautiful property which was centrally located for our hiking activities. Spotless, great commutation, everything there that you could possibly need! Would highly recommend and would definitely return if ever in the area!
This is a beautiful and peaceful property. The cabin was very clean and had everything one might need in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The covered porch is delightful, as is the view and sound of the little waterfall. There is a lovely creek that runs through the property, and at the time of this writing 1 beautiful horse that comes out to graze in the late afternoon. The location is perfect for hiking and exploring all of western NC. If you are planning to use the upstairs loft for more than 1 guest just be aware of a few things. The loft is open to the main floor, there is very limited storage space for clothes , and almost no place to put personal items in the small bathroom up there, but overall very charming and comfortable. Very much enjoyed my stay!
Spotlessly clean, totally relaxing, and great location from which to visit parks, waterfalls, access the Blueridge Parkway, and near Brevard. You won't want to get out of the comfortable leather chairs and couch!
Beautiful property! Home was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our trip was very peaceful and relaxing. Lisa thought of everything. The fresh homemade banana bread was a real treat. Will definitely be staying here again!
Absolutely perfect! From initial booking through arrival through our stay and checkout process. Everything very smooth with no problems at all.. beautiful property too. Will definitely go back!
My wife and I had a fantastic week on this amazing 40-plus acre property, and Ilse, the owner, is truly the best host we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, Ilse greeted us warmly and was always available to answer any questions, making us feel thoroughly welcomed. Ilse allowed us to explore the peaceful surroundings and enjoy the fresh air. The scenic views of the property from our cabin is amazing. The cabin itself was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and its cozy atmosphere made it perfect for relaxing after our adventures. We highly recommend this cabin and property to future guests—you're sure to love the tranquility and natural beauty. Thanks again, Ilse, for making our stay the best ever.
If you are looking for a quaint , quiet and safe place in beautiful Transylvania County , this may be the place !
This is our 2nd stay here to visit waterfalls , nature and vineyards and we were not disappointed .
We were in town for a family wedding. The location was perfect. Enjoyed relaxing at the house between wedding events and a quick day trip to Asheville!
If you are looking for true R&R this is the place. Peaceful and private, yet close to area activities. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every moment, I highly recommend.
Ilse was a wonderful host...
Everything was clean and tidy. Such a beautiful place to stay. Ilse was a wonderful host. She dropped by just to make sure we had everything. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Thank you for your review. As I want to do my best to make guests happy, I would be grateful for any direction you can give on what areas need work. Should you choose to stay at Falling Water Farm again, I want to earn that last star!
This is a great property. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything you need is provided. It’s centrally located. You wake up every morning with a private waterfall outside your window.
Beautiful property, such a peaceful and relaxing visit
The cabin was so clean and beautiful. The property is amazing & everything it says it is, in the description. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip, it was so relaxing to sit on the porch, listen to the waterfall and the peace and quiet of the property. The owner was so welcoming, it couldn’t have been a more perfect visit. We enjoyed downtown Brevard that’s within a quick drive & we visited some of the local waterfalls. You can’t go wrong booking here!
We had a very relaxing stay. The stream with the waterfall was a hit. The cabin was wonderful, we had a wonderful master suite.
We were close enough to all the outdoor things we wanted to do and to things in Brevard that we wanted to do. It’s also an easy access to the Parkway. It was close but not too close, very private.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope that you consider Falling Water Farm once again in any future travel plans. Thank you.
This cabin is exceptional! The Host, who is the owner of the property is impeccable! She was so very kind and was there for any questions you may have. Her number one priority was to make sure that we were happy and wanted our stay to be memorable which it was 100 percent. She had made delicious homemade banana nut bread that was in the refrigerator when we arrived. We highly recommend this remarkable cabin! The cabin is very clean and you have everything you may possibly need. Thank you Ilse for your hospitality and thoughtfullness. Sincerely, Scott & Julia
This property was most certainly a real jewel! Clean as a whistle - property owner Ilse certainly goes above and beyond in seeing to that. The views are spectacular as well with a natural waterfall upon entry (can be seen from the side window of the cottage) as well as beautiful picket fences and well manicured lawns, visible from all windows. Great location, too, only minutes from downtown Brevard, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway and Highlands. Recommend this property highly!
This is an exceptionally well maintained property-- clean, well appointed, quiet. It is about a 12 minute drive from the college town of Brevard with small shops , galleries , and restaurants; and close enough to outdoor recreational activities. We are book readers and music people so we didn't explore whatever media offerings are available at the cabin. Rain or shine you can sit on the porch around the cabin.
