In the Venice heart, between St. Marc sq. and Biennale exposition
My flat look at a very quiet 'campo', the tipical square in Venice, and you can take here your breakfast, lunch or dinner. This zone is not a turistic zone but it is very closer to St. Marc square and Biennale exposition The bedroom has a king size wooden bed very confortable, Matress memory_foam h.18 cm, anti-mite mattress and duvetin . In the dinner room, you can use the sofà, the armchair, tv and music. There is also a wi-fi connection. You can cook in my kichten. Yes, because this is my home, and I rent it only sometimes and I go to a friend.

Barbara is an amazing host! She came and met us at the transportation center and gave us detailed tour of her property. Her home is charming and the location is superb! I highly recommend this property!
We very much enjoyed our time in Venice and the food at da johnnys was exceptional Barbara helped us out when we needed her . Lovely apartment would stay there again
The appartment is in a great location - close enough to everything yet far enough to have some peace away from the crowds.
Super clean and the bed was comfy too.
Will definitely come back!

Thanks Alexandra. I look forward to seeing you soon for a new Venetian adventure
Barbara's flat and check-in/check-out fulfilled all expectations. During the seven days we stayed in Venice it was the perfect home base. The fully equipped kitchen, the cosy living-room and the large bedroom from day 1 gave us the feeling we returned home.
Communication with Barbara was swift and precise. With that it was easy to arrange pick-up at the Vaporetto stop and check-out. We can highly recommend her flat for anyone wishing to spend a few days in La Serenissima.

Una coppia molto gentile, carina e attenta, con il desiderio di conoscere la città, la sua storia., la sua arte e al tempo stesso come si vive ora e i problemi attuali.
Tutto è andato benissimo fin da subito.
Ottimi ospiti
After pounding the streets of Venice for four days I can quite comfortably say this is simply the best location possible. Its amazing Venice has stolen our hearts and this location really helped. The apartment is actually Barbara’s home and that comes across in spades. So if you want to feel as local as possible (yet obviously be one of the thousands of tourists) then this is the place for you. Her communication was excellent. And was very quick to offer for us to keep our bags at the apartment on our final day. Thank you so much for a wonderful long weekend.
I fear there are not many areas of Venice left, where the local inhabitants comfortably outnumber the visitors. However, this is one of them and it is both charming, quiet and conveniently close to some of the major sites, as well as the Arsenale vaporetto stop, which can be easily reached by foot in about 5 minutes. Barbera is a most considerate and helpful host who did her utmost to make our stay comfortable. Thoroughly recommended.
With thanks,
William + Wendy

William and Wendy are very kind and respectful hosts. Always punctual and smiling. It was a plesure to have them as guests.
Staying in Barbara’s apartment was a delightful experience. Her home is spacious, charmingly decorated and very conveniently located. You can be in San Marco in 13 minutes walk or 1 stop on the vaporetto, yet Campo do Pozzi is very quiet and peaceful. There is a good pasticceria 3 minutes away for coffee and a morning pastry. The bed is very comfortable, there is a full kitchen and a comfortable living room to read in at night. All the little touches let you no that this is someone’s home, not just a rental apartment, and that was something I really appreciated. She was very easy to communicate with and was nice enough to meet me at the vaporetto stop the first night even though I arrived about an hour late. Highly recommended.

Off to a difficult start, but Venice is incredible!
Our rough start was due to a difficult challenge with the address given on the website for the property. Neither the iPhone map program, nor Google could make sense of this and sent us all over Venice. Our host Barbara tried to hang in there with us, but was clearly irritated with us being late two hours, arriving at the property lugging all our belongings. We called her several times, but she was unable to assist us with better directions. Finally a young gal in a candy shop who spoke good English and lived in our neighborhood was able to map to the restaurant right near our Host’s flat. Thank God for the restaurant Osteria Ai Do Pozzi! Our saving grace for a meal that evening as well! For those coming after us, use this location as Google maps found it without challenge.
The apartment has 27 stairs up, which you need to know. Barbara supplied everything we needed and has a lovely view of the courtyard and inner garden area. All that we needed was supplied! Her apartment is very centrally located, which we found so helpful!

Alone, I arrived on time in Venice as the sun was setting. I followed Barbara's directions, found the alilaguna blue line water transport and phone her once on. The operator told me in English that the number she had shared was "impossible." I checked my dialing, looked into possible country codes that needed to be added, etc...Finally starting to panic about possibly being abandoned, I tried to reach Verbo with no luck. As a foreigner who spoke little Italian, I became very scared. After about 45 min. I got a phone from an Italian phone number, I answered and the call disconnected. This happened 3 times. Finally I realized I should just call this number, and I finally reached Barbara who said her phone could not accept calls. WHY DID SHE TELL ME TO PHONE HER? WHY DID SHE NOT EXPLAIN THIS? No one should be put through this.

It amazes me to read this review. I constantly receive dozens of guests who arrive without problems. The directions are clear: I ask if they prefer that I go and pick them up at the boat shuttle stop from the airport, in case of writing me a message or calling me by WhatsApp.
if I do not receive messages it is clear that they will arrive home independently.
Finnaly Maria called me, I went to the Arsenal stop as she indicated. I waited and called her three times with no answer.
She finally calls me back and tells me that she got off at another stop, Hospital, which is about twenty minutes from where I am. I catch up with her and drive her home where I offer her a glass of wine.
I understand that a lonely person in a foreign city in the evening (7 pm) may feel lost and afraid, just call me as soon as she was on board and give me precise directions where to wait for her. All transportation operators and mayority of people in Venice speak English.
Je recommande les yeux fermés cet appartement idéalement situé dans le centre du quartier castello - plus typique mais aussi très proche du cœur plus « touristique ». Merci à Barbara, nous avons passé un excellent séjour!
I had a very enjoyable stay in Barbara's flat. She was an ideal host, even taking the trouble to meet me at the Vaporetto stop and showing me around her property. She couldn't have been a nicer ad more helpful host. The flat itself is in a very quiet location, and only about 15 mins walk to Piazza San Marco. It is furnished as a home and therefore has everything that one could need in terms of comfort and convenience, Highly recommended.
Located in a truly historic building, completely filled with books, artwork, and personal possessions. Plenty of hot shower water. On a 'campo' which has a nice local restaurant. Five minutes walk to vaporetto stops and the beginning of the Grand Canal. Be aware: 29 steep steps to the apartment. We enjoyed Venice for two weeks. in September.

Thank you, you are very nice. I'm glad you had a good time in Venice and in my flat. I hope you and your little pet can retour next year.🤗

Barbara met us at the water taxi station, and walked us to her apartment, which is in an excellent location. It is near to everything, yet off the tourist beaten path. The a/c was not working in the bedroom, but Barbara was working on getting that fixed. We had a great time, and would definitely stay at Barbara's place again.

For me it was a wonderful accommodation, for my use.
I went most of the time out for eat and drink, and stayed most of the day in the city(Biennale),
For biennale visitors it's great, because it has a very short distance to the arsenale, is in a quite sourrounding. I did not use that much space and compared to my other experiences with venice standards, i can realy recommend this flat. :)

Venice-Arsenal Waterbus Stop
Barbara's place was clean and central between the Biennale de Venezia and San Marcos. Barbara's home was lovely but although there was an air conditioner in the living room the bedroom still remained very hot, we also had no access to a washing machine. Initially it was challenging to get to her place because I had to check in my large luggage and there was a very long line that took a very long time to check in. She was upset it had taken us so long and said we had taken the longest to get to her place. This was upsetting because we had no idea checking in luggage in the train station would take so long. We had really did our best but everything in Venice is so slow especially when taking the water buses. She met us at the Arsenal stop and took us to the apartment where she quickly showed us the apartment and explained she had a special neighbor so we needed to be quiet especially after 11pm. We obliged but we were surpised by her neighbor when she knocked on the door and pointed at a bag of compostable garbage on the floor and proceeded to lecture us. It was the most bizarre experience because I dont think the owner left the garbage and I know we didn't so the only thing I can assume is the neighbor put it there in order to have an excuse to meet us. I don't think she anticipated that I spoke Italian. Anyways, I explained that it wasn't ours but that I would throw it away anyways. FYI Venice has a very strange situation with garbage. There were maybe 3 public garbage cans in the city and all overflowing. This was a challenge because when needing to throw out garbage there was really no where to throw it. Bizarre. But there was a garbage service on Monday morning for non recyclables. But we had to be there because we were afraid to leave it outside in case the neighbor had issues again. Aside from when Barbara was visibly upset and said we had taken the longest to get there. She was trying to get out of town. And we were doing our best. She did attempt to be friendly and spoke Spanish, Italian and French. I think our biggest disapointment was the unavailability of a washing machine which when we booked this place it stated there was one available and we really needed one. This apartment also had a bar/restaurant in the piazza in front of it.

From the feedback one understand that the house is beautiful, clean and well located. That I was kind and welcoming. So I can't explain a 3-star rating.
1. I have asked the arrival time many times, via email and whatsup without getting an answer. Then seeing that I wrote that I had to leave and take a train and so I had to organize myself and, if necessary, to find someone available to do their check in. Only a couple of days before, they told me that they arrived at 9.20 am at the station. So I bought the ticket for a train that left at 14.30. In the morning around 11, still no news. I called and they told me that they were leaving their luggage at the station, at noon the second call from me. They arrived at the Arsenale stop at 1:15 pm, jokingly I told them that 4 hours was the record for arriving from the station to Arsenale. But I didn't feel upset, I was just a little anxious not to miss the train.
2. The washing machine is there in a wooden furniture. It was enough to ask. I gave my availability for anything to be contacted by phone or whatsapp.
3. In this period there are exceptional hot days of 33/35 ° C and therefore the bedroom remains at 26/27 degrees C, and without humidity which in Venice is important. I sleep there well regularly.
4. Garbage in Venice is collected every day except Sunday. The sweeper passes in the morning around 8.30. I gave clear indications on this. Also leaving a written note.
5. As for the neighbor, I knew nothing about this inconvenience and cannot predict her behavior. I'm sorry.
I notice that some people think of staying in a hotel or a vacation home. There is no congierge like in a hotel and therefore it is necessary to establish a time of arrival. This is instead a real house, which I rent only occasionally. And here is its value. It is very well furnished with valuable furniture and accessories. It is in a true context, not an artificial one. Including neighbors.
