As all of the other reviewers have said, it’s a beautiful historical property. We loved all of the space to spread out and all the special touches. The location in the Garden District made it really nice to walk around and admire the beautiful homes in the neighborhood and was close enough to Magazine St to enjoy the great food offerings there. The street car stop was so conveniently located nearby and we took advantage of it every day to explore the city.
Great location and beautiful home. David is an excellent and responsive host. The place needs a little TLC but it is overall a truly unique home and a treat to be able to experience it.

I want to thank this guest for identifying some items that needed to be addressed, some that I was aware of, and some I was not. One Duvet cover (on a goose down comforter) had a stain on it. I have had it drycleaned and stain removed successfully. The glass of the windows required cleaning, a constant battle under the Live Oak trees. I have since had 23 windows cleaned. Thank you Rhyan for alerting me to this. A toilet float stuck, but then operated for the rest of their stay. I have had that replaced anyway. A shower had a curtain that was stained. It will be replaced by a glass door next week.
Again, thanks for your observations. It helps me keep the property in top shape.
Amazing rental with lots of room for friends and family. Only a few blocks from Il Mercato wedding venue. Two off street parking spots which were convenient for loading/unloading suitcases. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay there again.
While we are local, we stayed here for my daughters wedding so the whole family could stay together. The location was amazing and the host were always accessible and responded to all of our needs.
The Byrnes House was perfect for our stay in New Orleans! The house is very well stocked, comfortable, and large. The description is also very accurate - my kids absolutely loved the hidden bedroom upstairs and talk about wanting to go back. David is a fantastic host, communicative and responsive.
We had an excellent stay at the Byrnes House! David was a great host. He was quick to respond to any questions we had, and he was very pleasant to communicate with. The house is conveniently located just a block from the streetcar, and it is beautiful both inside and out. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the large front porch. I would definitely stay here again.
The house is an historic treasure. Well stocked, comfortable, close to the trolly and lots of restaurants. Very convenient place to stay and see New Orleans. We loved it!
Perfect house for the gathering of family. Easy access to the Quarter via trolley. Would recommend more small frying pans and proper fitting lids for larger pots in kitchen.
The house is clean and convenient with all the comforts of home. Great location with easy access to everything. Highly recommend! Awesome communication with David.
Wonderful property for a group with the perfect location!
Stayed here on a recent trip with our kiddos and some family friends. There was plenty of space for all of us and the location could not have been more perfect. Easy access to street car and to Magazine Street. Strongly recommend this listing.
Six older women loved staying in this beautiful house. Perfect location, just a short block to St Charles Ave. It was stocked with everything we needed. The bedding was heavenly, beds super comfortable and furnishings.were lovely.
Bring the family and enjoy a home away from home. Great location close to the trolley line and yet far enough way from things that you can relax and enjoy the splendor of Old New Orleans. And the host is easily accessible and responsive.
