Perfect for a romantic vacation or a family getaway. Gorgeous 180 degree ocean views from the living room. Frequent whale and eagle sitings from the deck. No direct beach access but only a five minute walk through a secluded forest trail to quiet beach with flourishing tide pools and protected seabird habitat. Depending on season beach below is has colonies of brown pelicans, blue herons, sea gulls , plovers and sand pipers.

Only a 5-10 minute drive to Nye Beach, historic Newport Bayfront and Newport aquarium. One mile walk to Yaquina light house state park and interpretive center. Great outside porch overlooking the Pacific ocean with built in seating and custom benches. Hot tub with ocean views in secluded location.

Fabulous stay

I thoroughly enjoy staying at this home... the amenities are great and sometimes hard to leave to do other activities. Walking to the beach from this home is lovely and the tidepools are amazing at low tide. Definitely a place to return

Amy our mother is the matriarch of three daughters , three son in laws and nine grandchildren that love living the in the Pacific Northwest. Amy manages and takes care of the property. and recently retired as a RN lactation consultant. Annie is a family practice doctor and a proud mama of three, Molly is a family therapist who is also very proud of her four little ones and Sadie takes care of her two little ones and works as a RN in the emergency room. Our mom, Amy, who created this home with her late husband Sam (who this property is named in honor of) is a creative visionary and has delivered many babies in her time. We are excited to be able to share our own home in Newport. We endeavor to make our home warm,. welcoming and a haven for our guests to rest and reconnect .

Why they chose this property

My late husband Sam and I fell in love with this property while lost and accidentally driving down the hidden driveway . From the moment we saw the house, the hidden oasis and endless ocean ahead grabbed us. Little did we know the house was for sale, and when we went to look for property for sale in Newport, there was our dream place! The universe really does work in mysterious ways. The woman who owned the house before us was a master gardener and planted the hydrangeas and fuschia shurbs that are now trees We have continued caring and adding to an established flower garden in honor of my late husband who also appreciated the beauty and mystery of a flower garden. In fact the flower bed in front of the house was a driveway when we bought the house years ago

What makes this property unique

COVID SAFETY RESPONSE
My daughters and I have very carefully implemented our Covid Safety Response outlined below. As a nurse , mother and grandmother it is critically important that I protect my guests as well as my family who all stay at Sam's Sea Haven.

1. No-contact check in. Key code outside front door is sanitized between guests.
2. Following CDC guidelines of 72 hours between guests.
3. Cleaning fee increased to allow for two extra hours of sanitizing.
4. Complimentary hand sanitizer, Clorox spray with paper towel wipes and gloves provided on table as you enter Sam's Sea Haven.
5. Extra sanitizing training provided to an already meticulous housekeeper Hilda.
6. In addition to our normal rigorous cleaning, all surfaces listed below are sanitized.
