The Ocean Gate community is only a short walk down a shady path to one of Hilton Heads beautiful white-sand beaches. Enjoy this home that includes updated amenities, 2 bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, a back deck with gas grill, and community pool!

This home is located just outside the Ocean Gate of Sea Pines at the end of South Forest Beach. Being so close to Sea Pines, this home is in a very quiet neighborhood. 1 Ocean Gate is an independent, stand-alone, house with in one of Hilton Head’s finest beach-oriented communities. The community has a pool and tennis court!

Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen which includes a small breakfast nook, a perfect place for your morning coffee. The home offers a large open living area with a dining table that seats 6. The living room has a flat screen TV connected with Roku and a pull-out sofa. Off the living and dining area, step out onto your large back deck. This is where you will be able to find the gas grill. The deck overlooks the backyard with live oak trees and Spanish moss.

Back inside, the half bath and laundry room are located on the first floor. Going up the staircase, the second floor offers a master bedroom with a king-sized bed and private full bathroom. The second bedroom on this floor includes a queen-sized bed with a private full bathroom. Also, on the second floor is a loft area featuring a twin-sized pull-out sofa, and a small area where one can put up a home office.

This was our first time visiting HHI for Easter. The beach house was clean and had everything we needed to have a great week at the beach! The short walk to the beach was perfect for our children ages 2 and 5. The close access to the pool was awesome too!!

Great location!

The location of this condo was amazing. Just a short walk to a nearly private beach every day. It felt like paradise. There’s a bike trail connected to the parking lot and it’s super close to the entrance of the golf course. The condo was super clean and I appreciated the accessibility of the hose for beach cleanup every day.

Restful stay at 1 Ocean Gate

We had an excellent week at this property, perfect for the 4 of us. It was a short quarter mile, 5-10 minute walk to the beach along a shady path. The unit had everything that we needed and Beachside Getaway (thank you Quinn and Will in particular) was very helpful and prompt when we had questions. We would absolutely stay here again.

Ocean Gate Villa #1

Wonderful location close to the beach! Easy 5min walk a crossed the street from the beach path, beach was wonderful! Home was great and had everything needed for a beach vacation. Pool was right behind home and easy to get too and clean! Tennis courts were nice with a basketball hoop that was fun to use as well!

Cute Place!

We had a great time staying at this home. It's a short 3-4 minute walk to the beach, you cross a road, but really close. The place was clean, abundance of towels and had most amenities other than it could've used some better pots/pans & storage containers. Other than that, it was perfect! We'll definitely come back and stay here again!

Had a great time!

The property was as advertised, leasing agent was very responsive. The condo & pool were well maintained & very clean! The beach wasn't crowded at all & was beautiful. Loved the private back deck & the ability to grill out. Cons: the walk to the beach may be a little intense for families with smaller children. The bedrooms were on the warm side, however, we did book during a heat wave w/ temps reaching 100F. Would definitely book again!

Everything we expected and more.

Overall, the villa was very nice – quite roomy/large; well equipped kitchen; clean; everything in good working order; and comfortable. Good location to the beach and restaurants/shops in Coligny. Very nice landscaping/outdoor area. We were especially impressed with the rental/Management company -- They checked in to see how things were going for us, and quickly took care of a couple small issues/questions we had. We would definitely come back to the same Villa or other properties managed by this Company.

Loved the area but.....

The property was clean and located close to sea pines. I wish I had known that every trip into sea pines was going to cost $9. I spent over $50 going in and out. The pull-out beds are not very compatible for adults or teens. The master bedroom was great. The kitchen was nice but the dishwasher did not really clean anything so had to do dishes by hand.

I have opened tasks to address the dishwasher and will be reaching out to you for further elaboration about the pull-out. As for the passes, if you are not staying in Sea Pines, Sea Pines passes are not provided. If you had brought this up to us, we would have advised you to purchase a weekly pass instead of multiple daily passes. Additionally, there is much more to the Island than Sea Pines so there is no need to go every day. We do appreciate that feed back about the area at large for future travelers - Beachside Getaway

Great vacation

Had a wonderful week on Hilton Head. This house is a house on its own in a small condo complex. Really good location. It's a very short walk to the beach, across the road and down a beach path. It feels like you are on a private beach. We went multiple times a day, walking back and forth, trying to catch the times when the dolphins were out. We rented bikes and biked everywhere, to Coligny, or to another complex of restaurants and stores near the movie theater. We also went into Sea Pines a couple of times, which is right next door. We also walked on the beach to the Sea Pines Beach Club, which is about a 30 minute walk. The house was perfect for us, two couples. Kitchen seems very new. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and in order. There is a pool, but with the beach right there we didn't use it.

My first review

I've never reviewed before but though this property needed one since I rely so heavily on them. A couple of things I thought were misleading is the walk to the beach is about 6 minutes and the bike ride to the Coligny Plaza is about 11 minutes. That being said, everything else was good. The house is nice and was very clean (I even smelled bleach in the bathrooms). I was real hesitant when I saw the carptet (I hate carpet), but it looked fairly new. Having a washer/dryer is good and they both worked fine. The furniture was a little dated, but we weren't there enough to even sit on it, however, the loveseat in the loft got my attention often. Loved the kitchen. The bathrooms were a little dated, but very clean. There are no TVs in the bedrooms, but we had our computers, so we just used them. The wifi is good, only went out once so we just reset the router. The pool and tennis court is just beyond the back deck. The pool is small, but perfect for the complex. The walk to that amazing beach is to the left of the house a few steps and across the road. The road is not busy, and the walk is very pleasant down a shady path. The beach at low tide is like 100 yards wide. We called Forest Beach Cycle ahead of time and our bikes were waiting on us when we got there. We biked almost everywhere we went. Beware when biking on the beach, it's easy to ride with the wind at your back, but turn around, and it is a whole different story! So don't go too far away your first trip! Coligny Plaza was my girls' hang out. Especially all the sweet shops there. Our favorite eateries were Steamers, Lowcountry Backyard, One Hot Mamas, and Cassabbas. We drove to Savannah and ate at Lady and Her Sons and it was not worth the drive. Save your gas. We did not do any water sports this year as we usually do since there were so many shark attacks north of here. We did play putt putt a couple of times (one of them across the street at Coligny) and went horseback riding at Lawton Stables, which was fabulous. Make reservations early at the stables. The 9am books up quickly. Overall, we loved our visit and would come back to HH and we would stay again in the house. Was a fabulous family vacation.
