Charming, comfortable house!

We stayed at this charming, comfortable house for three nights. We loved its old-fashioned charm, the decor, the many plants, and especially the comfortable beds and furniture. It had everything we needed for meal preparation, and the host, Cyndi, was very responsive. I hope to stay here next time I come to Grand Junction.

Great family stay

My sister watched my children so I could attend a work event. The house was warm, secure, had a full kitchen, bathing tub, a kids room, yard, everything needed for my family to be okay. I really am happy we stayed there versus a hotel. Would stay again!

Artsy, cozy rental

Cyndi is a responsive host. Her place has sweet touches – things for young children to do, lotion, shampoo, linens, cozy beds, artsy wall, paintings, and more.

Tour the Moon Bike Event

The house was adorable, clean and had everything we needed and was incredibly close to old downtown Grand Junction. This enabled us to ride our bikes to our event and not have to deal with parking. Would highly recommend for your Grand Junction stay with easy walks to shopping, restaurants and the convention center.

Nice stay near downtown Grand Junction

Very clean house. Spacious, near everything: downtown, shopping/restaurants on hwy 70/6, grocery store, Colorado Nat'l Monument. The neighbor's cat comes over every day for some attention, which I gladly provided. Quiet neighborhood. Recommended.

Cutest property with amenities close by

The check in process was so easy. The cottage was very nice and adorably decorated. Perfect property to play games, eat a meal, be outside. So many things to do within walking distance. Owner was responsive and accommodating when asked for recommendations for restaurants in the area. We chose to eat at "Pour Fellows" which was good food and beer!

Little gem of a house

Kind Cyndi's cute, functional cottage was a true find. That being said, I offer the warning that the cleaning scent was strong upon entry and took a day to dissipate. The front sunroom and back yard were wonderful! The beds were good and the old dishes available in the cupboard were a delight. I missed the availability of paper napkins. (Guess I should have brought my own.) The cloth ones on location are a detriment, not an asset, appearing stained and/or unlaundered. The rest of the house was quite clean, except the shelf above the stove that needs a good de-greasing. The description of the house had a "Who wants coffee, who wants tea?" picture and I highly recommend the host follow through on this welcoming theme. Some of her beautiful glassware containing white as well as brown sugar, tea, other common coffee accessories, and perhaps a higher grade of coffee would really bring that area up to the high bar set by the rest of the experience.

About the host

My husband and I are both from the mid-west (Iowa and Illinois) but we met in Fort Collins, Colorado while attending Colorado State University. After graduating, we moved up to Big Sky, Montana for 4 glorious years where we skied all winter and rafted all summer. We then moved to Grand Junction in 2002. We love the Grand Valley and all that it has to offer. We are 45 minutes, doorstep to doorstep, to Powderhorn Ski Resort and the Grand Mesa. We also love the proximity to all of the different mountain biking systems in the valley and hiking/trailrunning opportunities as well. The Riverside bike trail system is about a mile away and from there you can bike along the river east to Palisade or head west all the way to Fruita. We also love downtown Grand Junction because of the street art (a must see), restaurants, bars, farmer's markets, weekend festivals, the Avalon Theater and shopping just moments away. Please contact me with questions about the area!

Why they chose this property

We choose this property because of it's downtown location. The 1900 home is so charming and comfortable and has lots of character. Feels like home!

What makes this property unique

So close to downtown! Very CLEAN! Front and back porches! You won't be disappointed with this home! Check the reviews! :)
