In the heart of the Chianti, surrounded by woodlands and vineyards, this ancient construction has opened its doors to tourists who wish to have a rare and unique experience. It is possible to sleep amid history and spend a holiday in one of the 4 apartments created in this edifice. From the top of the hill (650m a.s.l), it dominates the surrounding countryside, the summer days are mild and the apartments naturally cool. Guests can stroll and relax in the Italian garden or enjoy the large outdoor pool (18x6, 1.20-2.40 deep)(01/05-30/09 open from 09.00am to 18.00pm). Take long walks in the 800 hectares of woods with marked paths within an uncontaminated backdrop. Possibility during the holiday of cookery courses, wine and oil tastings and guided tours to discover the historic cellar, visit of the Italian garden and the Renaissance monastery as well as meals in the characteristic restaurant, everything for special prices for the guests. Included in the price: mid-week change of bath linen, final cleaning, wi fi and an Internet Point in the “Honesty” bar. Central heating. Parking on the premises.

This place is an hidden gem, it was absolutely incredible to wake up in the grounds of an 11th Century abbey every morning. The apartment was spacious and had basic kitchen facilities, which were very useful as we were travelling with children. The courtyard and gardens were immaculately kept and a pleasure to walk around. Another massive bonus of staying here was the pool on site and the restaurant which served delicious food with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We had a very enjoyable stay and our children really enjoyed it too, especially the pool and running around the gardens. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that little bit different.
