Stone-built farmhouse (320 m2) situated inside a large property which covers an area of about 460 hectares near Castellina in Chianti. Peaceful and panoramic position amidst the vineyards and gently rolling hills of Chianti Classico (350 m a.s.l.). At guests’ disposal a private fenced-in swimming pool (6x16)(01/05-13/10). In an annexe next to the swimming pool there is a laundry room (washing machine, dryer) shared with the guests of the other units in the property. Simple style but complete furniture with some period pieces. Baby bed available to be requested when booking). Possibility to rent pool towels upon payment (3 euros/towel). It is possible to purchase the estate produce. Possibility of guided tasting tours of the medieval cellar with wine and olive oil produced on the estate. Parking.

The property exceeded our expectations and we were very happy with the welcome we received and the helpfulness and efficiency of the staff all of whom were charming. The infinity pool was maintained on a daily basis and was large enough for many people to enjoy and to swim lengths. The interior of the main house was very large and rustic. There was plenty of storage and comfortable beds. Parking was easy too. The walk for wine tasting was also very convenient. The views were lovely in all directions and the locality excellent for exploring Tuscany.

Wir waren mit 9 Erwachsenen Personen in diesem großzügigen und tollen Ferienhaus. Viele nett eingerichtete Räume. Viele Schlafzimmer und viele Badezimmern. Das Haus ist einfach riesig und bietet jedem die Möglichkeit sich auch mal zurück zu ziehen. Die Aussenterrasse und der große Pool runden das Angebot ab. Ein echter Traum. Im Haus war alles was notwendig ist ausreichend vorhanden. Wir haben die tolle Umgebung genossen. Wunderschöne Aussicht. Jederzeit wieder und vor allem tolles Preis/Leistungs Verhältniss.

A remarkable property in the Chianti hills

A remarkable property in the Chianti hills. Incredibly large - seems quite imposing at first, but we soon got used to it and really missed the space when we left and returned to our everyday lives. I am not sure what this building was intended for originally, but it has been converted into a very spacious villa that can comfortably accommodate 10 people. The dining area has a large table so family dining is easy and as it is just off the kitchen, not too far to carry food and drinks. The lounge is not quite large enough for all occupants to gather comfortably, but this wasn't a problem as we tended to split into a couple of groups anyway and there is a second lounge just off the main one. Although not all rooms are en-suite, there are plenty of bathrooms and toilets so no problem there. The outdoor space is the real feature of this villa, the infinity pool is easily the best we have ever had the pleasure to use and even after a very spectacular thunder storm it was clean and not full of leaves as others have been. The views from the rear of the property are absolutely beautiful, never tired of watching the clouds skip along the hill tops and the grape pickers beginning to collect in their harvest. The 'dirt' trail - partly tarmac'd - made for a great place to run, walk or cycle. Once again the views are spectacular once you get a mile or so out. Plenty of parking, although the slope is a bit tricky to negotiate and a very well equipped laundry room. All in all we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property, it is incredibly good value for money and the perfect location at which to base your exploration of the Chianti region.

Cleaning were perfect!! We´ve found the house very clean and also the bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was very good, with all the tools that we needed. The fireplace was very good, we had just a problem with the smoke. Since we don´t have fireplace here in brazil we do not know how to use it, and probably used it wrong. The only thing i think it could get better, is to have a heater in all the rooms. All the rest was perfect and we had a great time! Thank you very much for all the help.
