This is a beautiful apartment, typical, that will stay in memory for the best reasons: a beautiful view of the Baixa, the Castle and the Tagus, a great location next to the Castle and Alfama (. 15 min walk) and a nice house, comfortable, fully equipped with all services near.
On the veranda you can enjoy a morning coffee or a cocktail at the end of the day. The rooms overlook the street giving access to the apartment and the living room and kitchen overlook the inner garden of the block.

The house is great for families! Requesting beforehand, we provide cot, highchair, bath and magic wand for the baby's soups. Your stay is the house's offer!

The neighborhood is quiet and safe, it has several nearby services such as cafes and restaurants, mini-markets, supermarkets, butchers, ATM, banks, transport, among others.

Situated in one of the 7 hills of Lisbon, the apartment favors a fantastic view over downtown Lisbon. In 10 minutes on foot we are in the esplanade of Graça or in the belvedere of Nossa Senhora do Monte, and in a walk of 15/20 minutes you get to Castelo, Sé, National Pantheon, Feira da Ladra, Chiado and the whole the Lower Pombaline! The famous tram 28 is just a 5-minute walk away, and the Intendente Metro is an 8-minute ride away, which takes you to the airport and Parque das Nações (Expo 98) in 30 minutes.

Great stay in Lisbon

We had a wonderful stay in Lisbon. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable for our family. The neighborhood was lots of fun to walk around and there were terrific restaurants very close by. Our host was always available to answer questions and welcomed us with lots of information. We would definitely return here.

Great experience and well located.

Excellent apartment and host - well located except parking at night was difficult but it is all over the city. The apartment could use a fan for better air circulation but otherwise, very comfortable with everything needed.

Centrally located, great hosts

This two bedroom apartment suited our needs perfectly. Only a 15 minute walk to the castle, and minutes to public transportation - only a 10 minute walk to the Intendente metro station which served as our travel hub to get around the city. This apartment appears to have been recently upgraded with new modern IKEA furniture. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare your own meals if necessary. This apartment is also very clean. We arrived a little early and Helena was still cleaning and did not leave until everything was spotless. Fresh bread, cheese, juice, and wine were provided for our arrival. Helena and Andrei were perfect hosts. Andrei offers a shuttle to/from the airport for 35€. A service well appreciated after a long flight. I would recommend confirming with Helena the night before your return trip to the airport. Upon return to the airport Andrei accompanied us into the terminal and made sure our checkin went smooth. I concur with the other comments in the previous reviews. I would recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to stay here again if I am ever in Lisbon again.

A comfortable, attractive apartment perfectly located for exploring Lisbon

Our month in Lisbon was immeasurably enhanced by the fact that our apartment was perfectly located for people like us, who want to explore a new city on foot and by public transit. We found the apartment's amenities and layout also suited us very well, with two bedrooms (one of which we used for our away-from-home office), excellent Internet connectivity, well-equipped kitchen, and spacious (by European inner-city standards) bathroom. Our hostess, Helena, has done a lovely job of outfitting and furnishing it, and we appreciated the time she took when we arrived to make sure we were comfortable and oriented to the unit, the building, and the neighborhood. She went out of her way to understand our interests and make sure we had good access to local information. If you visit Lisbon, be prepared to spend a lot of time climbing and descending hills on cobblestone streets, some fairly steep, and bring your walking shoes. This apartment is no exception: as soon as you're out of the building, you're going either uphill or down. But either way, within no more than five minutes you will find yourself among supermarkets, metro stops, coffee shops, pleasant little people-watching bars, or pastry shops. Seemingly hundreds of pastry shops, I should add. Do 2 million Lisbon residents actually eat all that pastry? Within ten minutes you can be at one of several major plazas, in the twisted lanes of the Alfama, or on a trolley, or at one of two major viewpoints overlooking the city and river. In no more than ten minutes you can be at one of two major metro stations and only a short ride away from museums and points of interest all over the city. Within twenty minutes, you can be at the Castle, or at the waterfront enjoying the tourist scene, or at the Santa Appolonia train station (for your overnight trip to Porto) or the Rossio train station (for your day trip to Cintra), or shopping in the heart of the tourist district. We never had a restaurant meal near the apartment that wasn't at least excellent, and some were outstanding. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, with parking available (although we didn't have a car). The building dates from the 1950s and is secure, with good mechanical systems, and our neighbors were friendly. There is an adjacent garden that is unfortunately overgrown, but it has grapevines and citrus trees, and cats and birds, and we got a lot of pleasure from seeing it out our window every morning. We highly recommend this apartment.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in Lissabon

Schöne Ferienwohnung in Lissabon. Gut geeignet für eine vierköpfige Familie. Wir waren mit dem Auto unterwegs und hatten zum Glück immer Erfolg einen Parkplatz zu bekommen. Das kann sich bestimmt auch sehr schwierig gestalten. Das Zentrum ist von hier aber auch zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Der Blick von der "Terrasse" ist leider nicht so schön. Alles in allem aber zu empfehlende Wohnung.

Clean and cozy apartment in the Alfama district.

This apartment is very clean and nicely appointed. It is perfect for a couple, as it only has one bathroom and one sink. It would be nice to have some napkins, paper towels and a few dish cloths in the kitchen. We found the location to be convenient to the grocery store, and the central areas of town are about a 20’ walk. Nice restaurants not too far away, Lisbon is a very hilly city, so good walking shoes are a must! The owner is most accommodating and answers all inquiries very promptly. We enjoyed our time in Graca.

newly renovated apartment in quiet neighborhood

Spacious, very clean apartment in close proximity to subway and shopping areas. The owner provides pick up from the airport, which makes it very convenient in case of late arrival. Since the apartment sits on a hill (Lisbon has 9 of them), the location is not particularly suited for handicapped people. Otherwise, we can highly recommend this property. Helmut

Prepared for Lisbon

Good flat to enjoy the city! Everything in the flat still has a "new" feeling to it. Don't come with more than four people, might get too crowded. Appartment is in the lowest level of the building, however since there is a hill, all windows are well above street level. Parking is an issue in the whole city because the roadsigns are not telling you where you are allowed to leave your car. Maybe Helena can help you there... As it was mentioned before, there were some snacks and beverages on arrival. The next supermarket isn't far away (LIDL) and you can buy more common stuff at every second corner in small stores. Helena and her husband were always friendly and welcoming. We were not sure we got an address in the registration process but the location shown in the description was perfectly correct ;-)

SUPER SEJOUR

Bel appartement, très propre et bien équipé. Idéal pour une famille avec enfants. Une petite attention nous attendait à notre arrivée tels des fruits, du pain, du fromage. L'appartement est bien localisé et se situe à proximité de commerces et sites à voir. Les propriétaires très sympathiques nous ont proposé le transfert de l'aéroport à l'appartement et retour (moyennant la course). Nous gardons un bon souvenir de notre séjour.

Perfect Accommodation, Great Value, Amazing Hosts

Property was exactly as advertised. The location was perfect for us as we walked everywhere ie 15 mins to Castelo de St Jorge, 20 min to city centre, 10 mins to trolley, etc. Helena and Andre were great; provided some items for us to snack on upon arrival, water and juice. Were able to provide transfers to and from the airport (at a cost of course). Cute apartment, beautifully finished and comfortable beds. Overall experience was amazing. Thank you again Helena!

Recommended to all Lisbon visitors!

A central location made Rossio train station and all of Alfama accessible by walking. Apolonia and Oriente train stations and the airport were accessible by very reasonable taxi rides that will set you back on the order of 10 euros. A greeting that included a warm loaf of bread, a small package of cheese, ice cubes, and bottles of water and orange juice were most welcome indeed. A very special touch included a hand drawn map of the local area on a large blackboard that the owner had thoughtfully installed in the kitchen for the purpose of informing newcomers to Lisbon ... which, by any standard, is a twisted, convoluted city that is not at all easy to navigate. The apartment was scrupulously clean. Check-in and check-out logistics were flawlessly executed. The television is a sharp, modern, high definition model connected to a vast array of choices on a good cable network. Pillows and bedding were comfortable, warm and inviting. I can't recommend this apartment enough to anyone looking for Lisbon accommodation that is a bargain for what this gracious host is offering.

Spacious apartment, gracious hosts

This apartment is in an ideal location. It is in the Alfama district, about 10 minutes walk from the downtown area and about 5 minutes from bakeries, shops, and restaurants near the La Graca church. There are two good-sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds; there is a well-appointed kitchen and a comfortable sitting room. The bathroom has a full bathtub. Everything was spotless and the furniture is new. The owner was very responsive on email and even offered to have her husband meet us at the airport (for a fee), which was a godsend. He was also very friendly and we enjoyed chatting in the car. The owner met us at the apartment, showed us the keys and the apartment; she'd provided a map of the neighborhood (no small thing, because the area is full of windy, narrow streets and steep hills). She'd also provided a bottle of wine, some cheese and fruit, and some pastries, which we devoured immediately. We didn't call on the owner during our stay, but she gave us her cell phone number and we're sure she'd have been quick to respond. Overall, this was a great experience. We've stayed in many apartments rented by owners over the years and this was one that will live in our memories as clean, pleasant, and the right size for our family of four.

Spacious apartment, gracious host

We stayed in this apartment for four nights in April 2016 and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is in a good location in the Alfama district, near La Graca. We were 10 minutes walk from the downtown area. There were some small markets nearby and several bakeries not far away. The apartment is perfect for a family: there is one bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with twin beds, a sitting room and a kitchen, in addition to a bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Everything was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed having a well-appointed kitchen. Best of all was our host. Her husband met us at the airport (for a fee) and brought us to the apartment, which was a godsend. He was fun to talk to and mentioned some local restaurants. She showed us around, gave us some tips on navigating the neighborhood, and left us her cell phone number in case we had questions. She also provided a bottle of wine and some delicious pastries. We've stayed in vacation-rental apartments in many places all over the world and this ranks as one of our best experiences.
