Our cottage is located in Haute-Savoie, in the town of Neydens, in the heart of Geneva, between Annecy and Geneva, in the countryside in a house of character: an old restored farmhouse.
It is in the hamlet of Celle, in a very peaceful valley, 600 meters above sea level, flanked by a hill formerly planted with vines, facing south.
It is fully equipped to accommodate up to 8 people and has an outdoor terrace and a children's play area.

    Martine was a FANTASTIC HOST! She was always responsive in all our communications and extremely helpful during our registration and all times thereafter. The chalet was very spacious with all that was needed. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space. Thank you Martine for being so caring and a GREAT STAY!

    Magical Home’

    What a wonderful place to stay in a quiet farm spot yet convenient to both Geneva and key places to visit nearby —- Annecy, Yvoire especially. The home is quaint yet modern and very comfortable. The setting is beautiful with spectacular flowers placed perfectly like a painting. The owers are wonderful and very helpful and super friendly. The spot is very private. We enjoyed coffee outside and wine in the evening on our patio There are stores nearby to buy supplies. We also used their charcoal Grill! I’d definitely return if I was fortunate enough to. Merci !

    Beautiful Quiet Location in the French Countryside

    Martine our host was extremely understanding. We were originally supposed to arrive at the location between 7-8pm, however our flight was cancelled at the last minute. Our new itinerary had us arriving at her place at 11pm - midnight. We immediately notified her via VRBO of our late arrival and she assured us there was no problem. We had no idea how to meet her but as we excited the car she showed up and handed over the keys. The home is as advertised and the local is tranquil & picturesque in the hills overlooking Geneva. It is extremely quiet at night while you wake up to the song of birds. The kitchen was generally well stocked and I was able to roast a guinea hen as well as saute on the 4 burner stove. I wish there was a clothes dryer in addition to the washing machine on site at the same time I now understand space is tight and the provided drying rack was just fine for air drying. For entertainment, it appears she has French cable as well as a large collection of board games. Still don't miss using the outdoor table and playground if you have children - an absolute delight. There is one wooden high chair onsite which I did not use - still it appears safe for infants. There is a good size indoor mall with a large supermarket (Migros), McDonalds, 24 hr ATM and an indoor/outdoor waterpark a short 8 minute drive away with free ample parking - very convenient.

    Quiet Accommodations in the French Countryside

    My colleagues and I recently had business in Geneva. Rather than pay exorbitant hotel rates in Switzerland, we chose to stay at this little villa in France for three nights. It ended up being the perfect solution! It is located in a quiet country neighborhood - a part of a triplex. It was very clean and well stocked with amenities. We all agreed that the beds were very comfortable. There is a washer but no dryer so laundry had to be planned in advance to have time to dry. The only downside to staying in France is the commute into Geneva is challenging given the border crossing and traffic into the city. It is 45 -60 minutes to Geneva Airport during rush hour. Off peak that same commute is more like 20-30 minutes. That said, the peace and quiet at night more than made up for the commuting challenges. The town of Neydens has a grocery store, a McDonald's and an excellent Italian restaurant - plus a moderate size mall for immediate needs. The owners are so nice - they don't speak much English but we were able to communicate nontheless. One word to the wise - sheets and towels are available for rent and the cleaning fee is tacked on post stay - all payable in cash. I did not have any cash so that was a bit of a surprise but we got it worked out. My word of advice would be to confirm ahead of time how extra fees will be paid. Overall we had a good stay and I would definitely consider renting this facility again should we return to the area in the future.

    Nous avons beaucoup profité de notre séjour au Gîte du Vallon. La maison était magnifique, propre et calme, et nos hôtes nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de chaleur.     Urlaub in der Gite

    Unser Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Unsere Vermieter waren ausgesprochen herzlich und zuvorkommend und haben uns mit Tomaten, Zwetschgen und Bohnen aus eigenem Anbau versorgt. Sie waren jederzeit ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Die Gite war klein aber fein, die Wein umrankte Terrasse (die Trauben durften wir essen) traumhaft, so dass sich die heißen Temperaturen dort gut aushalten liessen und wir jeden Abend draussen gegessen haben. Die Umgebung ist landschaftlich toll. Vom Spaziergang bis zur anspruchsvollen Wanderung ist alles (mit dem Auto) in unter 30 min zu erreichen - ebenso wie Genf und Annecy. Wir haben auch viele Mountainbiker gesehen. Für Naturliebhabende hatte die Gite u.a. Fledermäuse, Eidechsen, Holzbienen, sehr entspannte Hornissen und Feldwespen und zahllose Schmetterlinge und Grashüpfer zu bieten. In der weiteren Umgebung auch Falken, Raben und Bussarde. Wenn es überhaupt etwas zu verbessern gäbe, dann vielleicht noch eine Küchenschere :) Und auf vegane Menschen sind Frankreichs Restaurants (noch ?) nicht so eingestellt. Trotzdem haben wir uns perfekt erholt und können die Unterkunft voll und ganz weiter empfehlen.

    Gite du Vallon, Augustus 2023

    Wij hebben een week verbleven un de Gite du Vallon. Het is een ruim en fujn huis op een mooi plekje. Het uitzicht is mooi en er is buiten ook genoeg ruimte, met leuke terrassen. De gastheer en vrouw zijn hartelijk en vriendelijk, maar laten de gasten ook ongestoord van hun verblijf genieten. Enig minpunt is het geluid van verkeer op de snelweg, bij een open raam in de slaapkamer. De directe omgeving is verder rustig en landelijk, maar in de drecte omgeving is veel te doen. Supermarkt en restaurants zijn binnen 5 minuten te bereiken.

    Super séjour. Martine et Jacques sont très sympa et très à l'écoute. Gîte très agréable sur plusieurs niveaux. Les enfants de 4 et 7 ans se sont éclatés avec toutes les possibilités de jeux et toutes les choses à découvrir. Endroit calme, apaisant, très bien situé au pied du mont Salève qu'il faut vraiment découvrir.
