We are beyond happy that you liked our home and took great care of it while you visited. We look forward to hosting you on your future visits to Clemson.
We will definitely be booking this property again. We usually have family gathering inJanuary and I think this will be our new location. It accommodated those lodging with us and who came to visit while we were there. The flow of the house and outdoors was so convenient especially for our large gathering when we roasted oysters.

House was ideal. Quiet neighborhood, great access to the lake and marina. House was very functional and the grounds well kept. Absolutely going to return next year.
Fantastic location, beautiful part of the lake, home very clean and well stocked with almost anything one could need on vacation. We really enjoyed swimming off of the dock and using the kayak provided as well. We had a wonderful time and also very much appreciate our hosts being so responsive to our needs/questions.
Peaceful setting in a quiet cove; easy-access covered boat slip makes for fun days on the lake. Great location near the marina, restaurants and shopping. The cottage is the perfect getaway!

About the host
Hosted by Karl & Erika Hoehne
We live in Asheville, NC, less than a 2 hour drive away. When the kids were young we called it "one Disney movie away". We love to be on the water and our families favorite thing to do is a sunset cruise on a warm evening to watch the sun go down over the lake.
Why they chose this property
We have always been drawn to the water and used to camp frequently on the lake. We would load up our boat, tent and dog and spend the weekends decompressing from stressful jobs in Asheville. When our first child was born, we realized very quickly that tent camping was not as enjoyable anymore and decided it was time to set some more permanent roots. This house was begging for us to reinvent it. So, up for the challenge, we bought this diamond in the rough. We lovingly took it apart and over the first few years spent our weekends putting it back together. It is the perfect blend of cozy rooms, open views and comforts of home.
What makes this property unique
This cozy little cottage has everything you need. It has enough space but not too much that you feel "disconnected" from your family. Deep waters and little boat traffic make it the perfect place to spend the day in the water swimming, floating or having jumping contests off the dock. If you start to feel a little water logged, enjoy an afternoon nap on the hammock under the canopy of the trees or challenge the kids to a friendly competitive game of horseshoes. Taking an outside shower after a day in the sun is the perfect way to wrap up a long day on the lake.
