Modern Talkeetna Retreat at Snowshoe Woods - Tri River Hideaway just 2 miles from down-town Talkeetna

We are excited to offer this serene hideaway to guests seeking a relaxing, comfortable, and spacious getaway while having fun exploring nearby rivers, trails, national and state parks, as well as the unique shops and food options in historic down-town Talkeetna.

Guest privacy is provided by the 2.3 acre lot located high on a hilltop in Talkeetna’s forest canopy. Enjoy sweeping views of amazing sunsets while BBQing or possibly a stunning aurora display while sipping some hot chocolate from the large west facing deck. Located off the great room, the spacious deck provides the perfect place for guests to unwind from a busy day of adventure.
Built in 2023, this 2,300 sq ft. modern unit offers all the comforts of home:

Amenities inside include; baseboard heating, wood stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, induction electric cooktop, microwave, kitchen fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, washer & dryer, televisions in the great room and upstairs guest bedroom, plenty of lighting, and a fan in each room.

Amenities outside include; Private, flat road below the property offers extra and ample parking for snowmachine or boat trailers. Propane BBQ, table and six chairs (stored during winter). Snow shovels and traction sand are available for use outside during the winter.
Winter Guests: Please notify property owner if you plan to use the private road for additional parking to ensure the road will be plowed for your use.

Please note this property is located in a residential neighborhood. Parties/events are not allowed, and quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please place used towels in the washing machine & start the load Ensure all 3 thermostats are set to 50 degrees. Ensure wood pieces are put back in place on the track to secure the glass sliding door.
If you have UNOPENED food or drink and cannot take that with you, please feel free to leave it behind. Someone in the local community or our next guests will appreciate your generosity.
Winter guests - Secure snow shovels outside, pull blinds down to preserve heat inside, leave porch light on.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please remove shoes upon entering. No spiked shoes allowed inside the house or on the deck/porch
No fish cleaning or game processing allowed on the property, inside or outside.
Please refrain from cooking fish or foods with strong odors

This home was the perfect base for us to explore Talkeetna and Denali! It's a lovely, clean, and spacious home with sweeping views, and just minutes to town. There's an awesome coffee shop in walking distance, and we even had a nice visit from a mother moose with two calves in the driveway! Highly recommended to anyone considering the area, and so much more comfortable than other lodging options nearby.

We enjoyed the stay. The house was very clean and in a peaceful area, a couple of miles from Talkeetna, and hikes around the lake just a few minutes away. This home is by far the nicest one we’ve stayed at on our many visits to Alaska!! It is immaculate and well stocked, down to the soft comfy blankets to snuggle under. The beds are queens and a king, which is hard to find, and bathrooms were roomy and stocked with shower toiletries. The hilltop setting makes you feel like you are in a treehouse; we loved sitting on the deck and listening to the birds. It’s a perfect location, too, just a quick hop into downtown Talkeetna and to lots of hiking trails, with easy access just off the Talkeetna Spur Road. Will definitely stay here again when in this area.
