We had a great stay at this lovely home. The house was well-equipped and very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, spices, etc. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the peaceful setting and easy access to skiing and the great restaurants in the area!
Thank you Ms Jackie for letting stay at your cottage as we had a good time. We enjoyed the coziness, beautiful morning views, and accessibility to skiing and groceries. It was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen and lots of games for the kids. Just a heads up that a few of us did have difficulty with a lot of congestion and coughing the first night. In the morning with daylight we realized that there was white dog hair all over the floor, most visible on the main floor. It was on our socks and clothing. Once we vacuumed and cleaned as much as we could, we slept better the second night. Regardless we would definitely go back!
We enjoyed our stay in Jackie’s Mad River Valley home! It was absolutely wonderful! The home was exactly as it was described in the listing. Super clean and everything worked great! I cannot say enough about the host, Jackie! She answered all questions and helped us through the rental process. She was always very prompt on all responses and was so helpful with recommendations on things to do, where to eat, etc.. thank you so much, Jackie! We had a wonderful vacation in beautiful Vermont ♥️
Jackie's home felt like a HOME, not just a random rental. The beds were comfy, their game closet was amazing for our kids (5 and 6) and it just felt super welcoming, down to an amazingly well-stocked kitchen. Walking distance to great restaurants (albeit down a steep hill!) and super-helpful communication with the host. We had a wonderful getaway.
We had a wonderful stay in Mad River Valley!
The house is perfectly situated and has amazing mountain views. The kitchen and house are very well provisioned. Tons of board games and toys for kids (and adults) to amuse themselves when it rains. And lots of extra blankets for the cool Vermont evenings…
We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and the house was altogether lovely. Thank you, Jackie!

Ben - thank you so much for leaving our house neat and tidy and being such great guests!! We're so glad you enjoyed the toys and games for everyone. We loved to see that your children enjoyed the stuffed animals and train set.. brought a smile to our faces! Glad the extra blankets came in handy! Thank you for staying at our home and we hope to welcome you back again!
Came to visit Waitsfield on a recommendation from a customer. We booked this beautiful home and could not be more happier doing so. The views were even more breathtaking than the pictures. Jackie was a text away with any questions I had and responded in a timely manner. We will definitely book another stay if we ever decide to visit Waitsfield again.

Great!!
Home was great. The improvements the owners made really made the kitchen and dining area more usable and a fun place for everyone to gather. The only issue I had was having to bring our garbage to the transfer/recycling center and having to pay to have our garbage collected at the end of our trip when we already paid a house cleaning fee upfront. I feel that this should be taken care of by the home cleaning service after visitors check out.

Eric - I'm so glad you had a great time again at our house. Thank you so much for staying with us again! We appreciate your constructive criticism and have found a better way to manage the garbage/recycling. There will now be outside garbage/recycling receptacles for you to use that we will have picked up weekly. Thank you again for staying with us and taking such good care of the house! We hope you'll come stay again next year!
About the host

We live in Massachusetts, just North of Boston. Our Vermont home is our family vacation home. We are all huge outdoor enthusiasts who ski, bike, hike, swim, play tennis and we love to travel the world.
Why they chose this property
I was born and raised in Vermont; however, moved away for career opportunities in my 20's. Sugarbush was always my husband's favorite East Coast mountain to ski, and has become the family favorite for the varied terrain. The Mad River Valley is so quintessentially Vermont and the people are so friendly. We just love spending time there.
What makes this property unique
The minute I walked out onto the huge wrap-around deck of this house and saw the view, I knew it was the house for my family. The location is so incredibly convenient and yet so private.
