Our family had a great time at this property. It was clean, isolated, and large enough for 20+ family members to get together and not keep too cramped. Would not be opposed to staying here again if we are in the area.
We rented this property in the summer. It was very comfortable and spacious and provided the quiet area we required. The facilities were great. Overall we found the property as described, value for money with great hosts.

Really appreciate you choosing us, Stephen. Hope your event at the Summit was awesome.
This was the perfect place for our team to gather for a company retreat. There was plenty of space for everyone and conveniently located just 30 minutes from the New River Gorge and some incredible rafting. Communication with the host was clear and concise. We’d love to stay here again in the future!
We had a great stay at this house. Close proximity to white water rafting and hiking. Everything is just as pictured with plenty of room for all in our group. The two different living areas were nice for us to spread out. If staying in the summer, be sure to bring a fan as the upstairs loft rooms can get warm.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and our home was a good fit for your group. Thank you for the feedback on the third floor rooms. We will check that out and see if we can add some additional fans or improve the A/C up there. We had not heard that before but it makes sense with it being the third story. Hope you come enjoy our home in WV again in the future.
We stayed in Highlander I and II for a family reunion; this was the perfect place for this multi-generational event. We loved having extra kitchens, living spaces and bathrooms. Cabins were clean and well stocked. So much to do in the area and the fire pits got used nightly for campfires and smores. Good communication from owner and easy check in/check out process.
We found this property to be very relaxing. We had enough room for our family activities and everything was in great working order. The kitchen was well stocked! Good communication throughout!
The house is really big And could easily accommodate our big family and friends. Convenient location and easy communication with manager. The kitchen could be better equipped since it’s a house for many people, the wasn’t a lot of plates, cups, and silverware so we mostly used plastic one, which was fine. Not much dishes to clean.
We came to WVA for our first family vacation. We brought all five our our kids (23-27) plus fiancés and three friends. There was plenty of room for all and the second kitchen andLoving run was a huge bonus for the 20 year olds to stay up and watch movies.
Every room was clean and roomy. Thank you!
5 families consisting of 10 adults and 10 children ranging in age between 19 and 2 years old. This house was perfect for our needs with each person having their own bed. We were able to segregate the families with younger children from the families with older children.
Had two minor issues that the property manager resolved very quickly. This comment is about the response, not the issues. Things are going to happen.
Having two kitchens, one on each level and three bathrooms made our stay very nice.
We went white water rafting with Ace Adventures and went to Camp Creek State park.
The purpose of the trip and renting the house was to reunite Army buddies, the Army wives, and brats (military children) and the convenience of this house and it’s Amenities made it a fantastic success for us.
We just rented this cabin to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. It was great. We had our family and close friends join us. The set up worked great for our large group and the cost was within everyone’s budget. Would definitely recommend this place.
We enjoyed staying here. Plenty of room for large groups. Very clean. The only minor negative is that it is in need of some TLC. Numerous light bulbs out, broken towel bars and curtain rods. Second floor balcony rail not safe. I did inform the property manager so hopefully things will get fixed.
Very comfortable, neat and clean. Was the perfect house for a large group. Considering going back in
Very comfortable, neat and clean. Was the perfect house for a large group. Considering going back in the winter as the house sits right on the side of the ski slope.
We stayed here during the summer months and it was comfortable for sleeping. It had ample beds for our family of five and could have truly slept 28 comfortably. It is obviously intended to be more of a winter sky lodge instead of a summer rental as it was not conveniently located to anything. They did mention that in the booking so I can’t hold it against the location but it is a good 45 minutes from white water rafting. It would have been a wonderful place for winter sports though.

Nice cabin for large groups
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Highlander. One special note. We went whitewater rafting for an afternoon trip. We knew we were going to return to the cabin rather late, so we inquired whether the cabin came with a crock pot. The response was "well it doesn't, but we'll make sure one is there". So when we arrived, a new slow cooker was in the cabin! We were able to start our dinner before rafting, and ate a no-fuss meal after we tired ourselves out from the rafting trip.

Spacious and welcoming
I booked this cabin for a partial family reunion. I got both the upper and lower parts of highlander 1 for our large group. The stay was great and we didn't feel like we had to watch the younger kids like hawks. There were no breakable decorative on surfaces or anything like that. I t was still decorated well and we had a blast. All the kids decided to sleep in the upper lofts/bedrooms of the upper floors so they liked being a little separated from us boring adults. We did have a slight issue with the air conditioning leaking on our last night, and it looked like that had happened before. Despite that our families would live to stay again!

Beautiful property with plenty of activities even in summer.
There were 18 of us from various cities in VA, WV, and KY. It was a fun stay for old and young with plenty of personal space. Everyone got their own room and bed and there was plenty of space for quiet and loud activities at the same time.
