LAKEFRONT HEAVEN. PRIVATE AND SECLUDED. LAKEFRONT

Lakeside Haven is located in a prime area of Watauga Lake and is nestled under canopy of trees with it's decks overhanging the beautiful waters of Watauga Lake. The absolute magical quality of the outside living area is what keeps people leaving the 5 star reviews and coming back year after year.

Lakeside Haven's indoor space is 850 sq. ft. We have an outdoor living space that consists of a large 4 person Hot Tub just outside the door on the main upper deck. Our Hot Tub is drained scrubbed and refilled after every guest leaves and we use very minimal chemicals. So no human soup to sit in or dangerous harsh chemicals for our guests. We have a gas grill and a large Patio table and Umbrella. On the lower deck you will find 2 very nice lounge chairs for reading or napping in the shade, between the two lounge chairs you will find a gas fire pit to enjoy at night. Follow the footpath down to the water to find the dock and if you choose that is where your pontoon boat will await you. From there you can boat or fish to your hearts content from daylight to dark if you choose.


2015 AVALON PONTOON AVAILABLE FOR RENT. Have your pontoon delivered to your private dock and have it stay there for your use during your entire stay. Very secluded, water front property situated on banks of Watauga lake! 1 KING BED BRAND NEW TEMPERPEDIC MATTRESS, 1 Queen size Sofa Bed. HOT TUB, Central AC and Heat. Stove, Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer, TV, Cable, WiFi. Two beautiful decks hanging over Watauga Lake. Boat Dock with complimentary 2 Kayaks . Public boat ramp just a few miles away so bring your own watercraft or rent one from us! Plenty of parking for boat and jet ski's. Local Grocery just 15 minutes away. Boat Slip available upon request.

Great Getaway for Two!

Peaceful Getaway

Great location on the lake! The cabin is small but efficiently laid out. Comfortable bed, nice towels, good Wi-Fi. The decks are great for enjoying the lake view, and the kayaks were a great way to explore this finger of the lake.

Romantic getaway

My partner and I shared a 3-night, romantic getaway over New Year’s Eve at the lake cabin. Accommodations were perfect, and we really enjoyed star gazing while soaking in the hot tub. Great view of the lake, and good opportunities for hiking nearby.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Wonderful location and private. Was able to park out boat/trailer and felt very safe to leave it as we ventured out. The host was very accommodating and returned our call/messages quickly. I would mention the phone service is poor and the road leading down to the house was rough.

The perfect quiet getaway

We had such a lovely stay here and can’t wait to come back again! The location is perfectly secluded in nature and the easy walk down to the dock allowed us to enjoy the lake to the fullest. Great Location!

Roomy and clean, couldn't ask for a better experience. Owners were responsive and hospitable, bedding was super comfortable, views are amazing! Enjoyed the boat rental, too, the lake was stunning. Fishing was good & the rental had all the amenities you'd expect in a high-end luxury cabin. Secluded and quiet, exactly what we needed. A+ in every way.

Cozy & clean

The cabin had everything we needed for a short stay. Organized, private, clean and comfy. Excellent lake and mountain views.The driveway was a bit of a challenge for our sport coupe but a small SUV or sedan would do fine.

Relaxing getaway in beautiful spot

This was a truly relaxing and lovely getaway. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and it is quiet and peaceful at the house. The lower deck with the lounge chairs was a perfect morning and evening spot to relax and enjoy the lake. The hot tub was clean, as was everything else in the house. The host was easy to get ahold of and communicated clearly. A great place to stay! One thing to think about - the space, especially in the bedroom, is small. The pictures reflect this quite well, just make sure you're good with that and you will have a wonderful time!

Peaceful cabin on a lake

We had a wonderful stay. The host is one of the good ones...you'll find all the little extras - soaps, lotion, shampoo, cleaning products, basic spices, a first aid kit, and laundry detergent - all the things that come in handy for travelers! The linens all looked brand new and the mattress was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks and were happy to find life vests available. The a/c was perfect and the wifi signal strong. It was a perfect weekend for my husband, pup, and I.

Quiet, spotless, and charming!

This place is lighter, brighter, cleaner, newer, and cuter than the photos can ever convey! So charming, with a new comfy blue sofa instead of the futon shown in the VRBO photos. Omg, and clothes hangers and HOOKS galore! FINALLY a rental with enough places to hang everything! The wifi is working great, and the 2 decks are perfect. Flowers in pots all around, and a really well-stocked kitchen w/SHARP KNIVES! Fantastic. The ONLY thing that would have made it even better would be to have some screens on the windows and especially the patio door. It was the perfect temp for opening up the house, but only the bedroom has screens on the windows. But a fabulous place in a gorgeous location, and we hope to stay longer next time! I was going to include some photos but the site is not letting me upload them.

Cabin on the lake

Beautiful cabin. But it is very remote. Nothing within miles. I had no cell service, which being from SC we had no idea where to go up there. I discovered that there was no WIFI. When I reached out to Brenda, said they could get it fixed next week. Brenda also reminded me it is an amenity, not guaranteed. There is no landline. I would hate to have am emergency, no way to call for help at that cabin when WiFi is down. I disagreed on WIFI as an amenity, Brenda called VRBO and had us thrown out. Gave us our money back. But, we had no place to go. She said not her problem. For a premier host, her skills at dealing with folks is questionable. We had an hour to get out. Beware. Don’t ask about local channels, that was unthinkable. It was just a question, thought we were missing something on the remote. We were very unhappy.

The cabin itself was very cute and organized. Comfy bed and furniture. There were some issues and the property mgr. was very responsive. The lake is low and the ramp to the floating dock is very sloped - early morning it is wet and very slick. Did not receive our instructions to check in until after we had arrived and there is limited cell service so we had to leave after arriving to receive. We love the area -

This property is very secluded, it is hidden and shaded by many beautiful trees. You can sit on the deck enjoy the view while you eat your breakfast every morning and in the evening sit in the hot tub naked as a Jay-Bird if that is your wish no one will see you!

What makes this property unique

I love this property because it so well hidden from the view of neighbors as well as the lake traffic. You can sit out on the deck in the hot tub and enjoy the peaceful wooded privacy and a view of the beautiful Watauga Lake or jump in the Kayak and go for an evening row.
