A delightful location in the historic Village of Omena, Lavender Lane is a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home that welcomes up to eight guests. It is immediately across the street from 140’ of beautiful private beach. Offering comfortable lodging and room to spread out, the cozy living room overlooks Omena Bay. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are provided. The kitchen is spacious and nicely appointed with all updated appliances, including a dishwasher. There is also a washer and dryer.

One bedroom is located on the main level and three bedrooms are on the upper level; the bedrooms provide 1-king bed, 2-queen beds, 1-twin, and a trundle. All bed linens and towels are included. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and window air conditioners in some rooms as well. There is one in an upstairs bedroom, dining room, and in the lower bedroom.

The wonderful beach is where you can enjoy sunshine-filled days and fireside fun at night. In addition to a side deck, a small courtyard with a patio behind the house offers a nice private spot to grill and unwind. The house is within walking distance of Knot Just A Bar for beautiful and rare waterfront dining; the Leelanau Peninsula Winery Tasting Room, Tamarack Gallery (a Midwest premier gallery), and the local corner convenience store. Lavender Lane is sure to delight everyone.

Omena is halfway between Suttons Bay and Northport – either is just six miles away. The charming town of Leland is eleven miles away and Sleeping Bear Dunes is less than an hour's distance. These nearby small towns offer shopping, art galleries, museums, a movie theater, dining, breweries, and wineries. Leelanau Sands Casino is just a short drive south. There are miles of hiking trails throughout the county. You can enjoy farm markets in Suttons Bay, Northport, and Leland.

One well-mannered dog is welcome, and owners must clean up after their pets.

We really enjoyed our stay at lavender Lane. The only negative comment would be the small bedroom lacks A/C and we had a bit of hot week. There are many fans and A/C in the rest of the house is fantastic. Hope to be back in the future. The beach and deck area were where we spent most of out time!

Have rented vacation homes for 30 years and this was one of the cleanest! Very well furnished. We wanted for nothing. The kitchen is well stocked. There is a lot of road noise during the day, but it drops off into the evening. Highly recommend! Great location in a beautiful part of our world.

Great location easy access to all the little surrounding towns so close to Omena. Beach excellent. Nice road for walking. Would have liked directions to tv. Never go master on. Usual maintenance needs to be done

Great location with easy access to Lake Michigan

Our group of 6 had an enjoyable stay. The extra-clean and neat landscaping of the property made all the difference. The beach front was very nice, but would have benefited from some sun protection (umbrella or cover on the lakeside platform.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane! The house is clean, stocked with essentials and in a great location. It was a perfect house for a girl friends getaway. The management company was also great and communicated every step of the way. We needed to get a hold of them at check in and we immediately got an answer.

We appreciated the updated bathroom vanities and 2d floor flooring and the house was very clean when we arrived. The location is convenient for us and we very much enjoyed sitting on the front porch or private beach with our morning coffee or to watch the moon over beautiful Omena Bay. So nice to return to an area we have known and loved for years.

The house is gorgeous and spacious -- lots of great amenities inside including washer/dryer. Private beach across the street with loungers and chairs and fire pit. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and a great surprise was the AC window units in every room keeping everything cool especially for sleep. Wi-Fi was very strong! Will 100% be back and will tell friends about Lavender Lane!

Beautiful Private Beach

Overall it was absolutely wonderful and we would consider returning to the same place. The only two negatives we found was 1. The bar-b-que grill was filthy. So much so that we decided not to use it at all. 2. We had a lot of " bug issues". We are seasoned campers so in general they do not bother us. we were killing up to a dozen or more roaches, stink bugs, silverfush etc. each and every day. I realize that is a challenge when.close to water. I would recommend a regular visit from a bug man furing rental season.

The pictures of the home really don't show how nice the property is. Everything is well thought out in creating a nice space from the floors, appliances, furniture and decorations. I have stayed in many rentals and this is definitely at the top, thus the 5 rating. The rental agency on a 1 to 5 rating gets a 5++++ in my book. Initially they were quick to respond to a question. In all the years I have done VRBO's I Have never had an agent call me to see if all is okay. This agency called me twice and emailed me several times to make sure all is okay. Kudo's to them. They have set a very high bar.

Reviewer Comments: The house was wonderful and suited our needs in terms of rooms, space, outdoor functionality, proximity to beach, etc. It was well-stocked—missing a few kitchen essentials (flipper utensil—I used a spatula for pancakes and a fork for burgers as well as baking sheets for the oven) but otherwise had mostly everything we needed. Driving is faster than I would like along Omena Blvd where we had to cross for the beach but we adjusted rather quickly. The neighborhood is lovely and we enjoyed several walks, runs, and scooter rides. The listing says all towels are included but the email with info (sent the day prior when it may be a bit too late for those traveling prior to arrival) stated there were no beach towels. We had to pay $30 for 2 beach towels at the country store—but that accessibility to the country store is another big bonus for forgotten items, staples, snacks, and drinks. Another suggestion is to do a bug treatment: ear wigs, ants, and some gnat type bugs were inside and the yard is pretty thick with mosquitoes. We make an annual trip along the west arm every year (10 years now) and enjoyed the beach, waterfront deck, and water here immensely. Overall we loved our stay.

Lovely Beach, Lovely Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really loved staying here. The beach was beautiful and we found several Petoskey stones/other fossils - which the kids loved. It was a peaceful, small town with easy access to Suttons Bay, Northport, and Leland which all have nice restaurants and shopping. There are several nice wineries nearby and plenty to do just on your own beach. Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear were a reasonable 40 min drive away, and well worth it. There were enough seats for six in the living room and dining areas, plus two at the kitchen island and one at a desk. The couch was too short for anyone tall to sleep on and was not a fold-out, just something to be aware of. There were smart TV's available for you to log into your apps on if you like. Kitchen had the basics available, and we appreciated the ice cube trays, napkins, and salt and pepper shakers left for us. Only thing to be aware of is the smallest bedroom is VERY small [twin with trundle bed] - there was barely enough room to get the trundle out - and it got really hot at night with no a/c in that particular room. Recommend leaving the door open and using a fan to keep cool air circulating through.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in to a house that was not very clean. Dog hair all over couch. Went up to master bedroom to a pee smell. Bed was wet with animal pee. Was told new bedding would be brought out next day WHAT. Ended up getting bedding in bag delivered to house by office. No follow up from management facility no apology nothing. You g girl from office helped change out bedding when she delivered it. Spider webs over kitchen table. Would not recommend till they get new management company and new cleaning crew. Location was great. House was perfect size for our family visit.
