This place is perfect for a couple or family hoping to spend time in the peaceful, inspiring landscape of Taos, New Mexico. A beautiful queen bedroom with mountain views and ensuite bath will invite you for a relaxing night's sleep after a day enjoying all that Taos has to offer. A roomy open concept kitchen, dining and living space will make your crew cozy and keep entertaining fun for everyone. The livingroom has huge picture windows which can be shaded for privacy, or open to the full splendor of the view, and a 40" Smart TV with sound system, Roku, DVD player. Home is on 2 acres, with permanently protected Pueblo land to the north, and just a few lovely neighbors on either side with plenty of buffer. The second bedroom offers sleeping accomodation for two more adults or children on twin beds, or can be used as a work space separate from the living space. The second Bedroom has close acces to the other full bath. Full size washer and dryer are located inside the home. The interior is perfectly sized for a party of 4, but it is the outdoor spaces that make this home feel palacial. Back patio, accessed from the kithchen opens to a fenced yard, offers seating and table space, outdoor grill, and the sounds of songbirds and windchimes to accompany the beautiful views. Front courtyard offers blossoming spring fruit trees and bulb garden and yet another private space. There is no road sound here, and very little light polution, expect pitch darkness here on moonless nights. There are mature shade trees on the property which is a huge plus. If you have furry family members, we welcome them here for an additional pet cleaning fee, and they will enjoy the safety and freedom of a fully fenced area where you can throw the ball for them while enjoying the back patio.
Situated about 15 minutes from the town center and Taos Pueblo, and about 25 minutes from Taos Ski Valley, you're close enough to enjoy town conveniences and cultural excursions, but far enough away to enjoy the iconic peaceful quiet setting Taos is known for. This home has all the views, the back patio faces the Sangre de Cristo mountains north of Taos, while the living room faces Picuris peak and the town of Taos, and to the west you can see the volcanic formations of the Taos Plateau. Both the Sunrise and Sunset shows are not-to-be-missed from this location. You're just minutes from the famous Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and Rio Grande Gorge area recreation opportunities.
Although this location is a little outside the town center, there is a gas station at the junction of 522/64, and an amazing little Mexican restaurant called Toribios. Just up Ski Valley Road (Highway 150 at that same main junction) there is a brand New Ace Hardware going in, and a fantastic local pizza joint called Pizaños. Great dining, bar, and package liquor is available at Medley restaurant and wine shop just a few yards further north of Pizaños. The Village of Arroyo Seco, about 10 minutes from the home, offers Sol Food natural food market, and café/bakery options, Wake + Take Vegan Café (even if you're not vegan this is GREAT food and fresh juice/smoothies), Aceq restaurant and Sabroso restaurant plus some tremendous locally owned shops and galleries. If you head the other direction back to the west on HWY64, you will find the Taos Mesa Brewing Mothership where they serve great house made beer and food and have live music nightly most of the year and offer a great outdoor space for large parties and events.
Visitors flock to Taos for many reasons, but none quite so alluring these days as the incredible recreational opportunities. Multiple points of access for world class hiking, fishing, skiing, biking, etc. exist throughout Taos, Taos Ski Valley, and the Taos Plateau. Beautiful home with tranquility. Very private back porch/yard with a stunning Mountain View. Comfortable beds with spacious bedrooms. The solitude was exactly what we were looking for in this location. Easy to walk our dog along the gravel road.
We absolutely loved this property. It was a beautiful home with everything you could need as a home base or just hanging around the house to relax or watch the gorgeous sunsets. The views were amazing from both inside and out.
Oh my goodness! What a first class casita with the most wonderful views from all windows and patios. I am a yearly visitor to Taos and this casita is 5 stars.

Nice property. Well decorated. Great views!We did lose our small dog a couple of times, in the sage brush, in the back yard. Luckily, the yard is fully fenced so we eventually found her.The property managers stayed on top of things during our entire visit by texting/emailing us once/twice daily with rental-rule reminders, check-out reminders and notice of when they would enter the property to replace a previously broken television.A few housekeeping instructions before check-out included washing dishes, emptying trash cans, starting laundry and taking large trash bin to curb for weekly pick up. Additionally, a couple of cleanliness issues were mentioned to the property management company. Though we have not heard back from them, we hope all of these steps will at lease make the visit for the next renters a little more comfortable!
Beautiful light and airy. Super clean and very nicely appointed. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The yard and patio were incredible and or Corgis, Lucy and Ava loved every minute. We hated to leave, but planning next year stay for sure.
