This property is a dream for our needs. Comfortable, homey, and fully equipped for a family get-together. The farm has been in the same family for 200 years, and the care and love they have for it shows. It’s like staying at your grandparents’ house (and ours live down the road so it’s pretty close). I hope we can bring them business for many years to come.
The hosts were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. We had a wonderful stay at the Howland House. The house has everything we could have possibly needed for our stay and was spotless. We are already planning to return for the next family get together!
The country setting is beautiful. The property provides spacious indoor/outdoor living and sleeping accommodations. The kitchen is especially well-stocked with coffee bar, spice cabinet and a variety of cooking and servingware making meal prep easy and convenient. We enjoyed outdoor family time playing cornhole, croquet and football with games for all ages. The property manager is especially attentive for any questions or additional needs.
This property is an amazing restful retreat for those looking for some quiet time. The house is amazingly appointed and is rustic and modern in the best sense of both words.
We stayed at the house over a long weekend to celebrate my son’s college graduation, and had an amazing time. The property was wonderful, the house was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The property manager, John, was extremely helpful - the perfect host.
The owner was so personable and sweet. The house was amazingly clean and we had so much fun there. Everything is labeled so you can find anything and everything there. If it’s not there, you don’t need it. They literally have everything. If there’s any children with you, there is a huge closet with games, crafts, and toys. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
This is a wonderful place to stay if you are going to that area of upstate New York. It is a beautiful farmhouse on acres of land in a quiet tranquil setting. The house easily accommodated our family of 10 and the kitchen was perfectly set up for home cooking. I would recommend this property to any family visiting this upstate New York area.
There was plenty of room (more than we needed) for the six of us to stay comfortably. The house is extremely well stocked. Very clean and comfortable. John was an amazing host and was readily available for any questions or problems. Would absolutely stay here again.
My family stayed at John's property for several days and loved the homey feel and spaciousness it provided the six of us. Lots of spaces outside to just sit and enjoy the peace and plenty of room for each of us inside. It is well maintained, the beds were comfy and lots of room in the kitchen for cooks. A beautiful property and John was a gracious host. We would definitely come back.
Two of my staff pastors and their families join me at this property for two nights, and it was delightful, clean large, well-maintained, organized plenty of kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, and everything you could ask for, including a working woodstove with wood included, pristine prop property, and wonderful host
Our stay was outstanding. The location was peaceful and safe.
The house was pristine. They made us feel right at home. John was very nice and offered us all of the answers to any questions. We are already planning another stay durning the warm weather , to enjoy the beautiful front porch.
Me and my family members have been staying at the farm house in November for a weeks stay the last couple of years and it is a beautiful place to stay. We always total enjoy every minute on the farm and in the house, the area is great too. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or long stay and or for special event or occasion. Our host John is the greatest and such a pleasure to chat with, he is very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and willing to assist in anyway possible if need be. My family and I are looking forward to our stay again next year and more years to come.
Definitely 5 stars and more.
What a wonderful space for our family to gather. I had communicated with the host prior and asked about baking at the house for our family gathering and she assured me that they had everything necessary. When I arrived I was amazed to see how well outfitted the kitchen was, from a wonderful mixer, to pans, to measuring cups, even flour and spices. This was a lovely surprise. Everything thing you need is at your fingertips!!
It was spotless & very comfortable. They had 2 small fridges + an extra Keurig outside of the common kitchen area. There were nice extras placed around for comfort like snacks, toiletries, etc. Owners worked to give us privacy even when we were cooking meals, though. The grounds were beautiful & quiet.
Beds were very comfortable & rooms were nice & big.
They are almost finished renovating the barn for events - would make gorgeous wedding venue.
We spent a week at the house bringing our two families together to meet, get to know each other and enjoy time and a meal together. It was accessible for our parents, welcoming of our diversity, great amenities with a stocked kitchen and grill, indoor/outdoor games, beautiful hiking trail and overall comfort with screened porches and separate areas for us to enjoy separate and together time. John is a fabulous host with great storytelling and discussion as an extra bonus and was nearby whenever we asked for anything. We will be back and bringing others with us!
