This vacation spot was beautiful! In a sweet quiet neighborhood with great amenities. The house was clean and had a great amount of space. Would stay here again!

Bernard's Landing

Great location on Smith Mountain Lake. Property is generally clean. Exterior common area is very nice, quiet and peaceful.

Great Location

In all our stays at Bernard’s Landing we’ve never had such rainy weather. However, the screened in porch at this property provided a sense of being outside without being in the inclement weather!! We appreciated that!

Meadows Town House

This property was such a joy to stay in. Everything and more than we saw on line. Spacious clean nicely appointed at beautiful spot right on the water at Smith Mountain Lake. Property manager was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY helpful in securing this perfect vacation home. They were professional and timely in helping us get set up there. Could not have been a more positive experience thanks to their assistance. I highly recommend!!!

Slice of Heaven!

What a beautiful location!!! The lake and mountains were so calming and peaceful. The home was very comfortable and plenty spacious for our family of 6. Did not even need the 4th bedroom with the bunks. Our daughter absolutely loved the upstairs room with the daybed under the window- so cheerful! The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening glasses of wine looking out over the lake. Pin pong table in the garage was a total bonus!! Loved the docks to sit and watch the sunrise and set and stargaze! Hope to be back again one day.

Memorable Stay at The Meadows @ Bernard's Landing

The house was large and comfortable for our group of 7 during our 4 day stay - all rooms and spaces as advertised. Just steps from the beautiful lake front. We had a wonderful stay with friends & family. Community of Bernard's Landing is quiet and convenient. Only negatives: somewhat less clean than expected on arrival. And an unexpected "surprise" email 5 days before check-in: linen service is on top/extra cost ($205). Or bring your own. Also: pack your own toilet paper.

We are glad you enjoyed your trip to the lake! Last time I think you stayed at Sublime Sunrise with us! We do send out the 5-day before stay "reminder" that if you have not ordered linens that, now is the opportunity! The $205 charge is to a separate company we work with and includes all linens for 7 beds and towels for all guests as well as a kitchen clean-up kit. There is also a packing list link on that notice so you know what you should plan to bring. We hope all that info in advance helps.

Good except no hot water!

At first glance this property seemed to be as advertised but we were not impressed with the cleanliness of the place along with the whopper- hot water for only about a quarter of our 2 night stay. It was boiling hot the first evening, cold til they fixed it the next afternoon, then after 1 shower it was cold again. We will not be returning.

Hello Joy, I apologize that the thermostat went out on the hot water heater while you were here. You can not predict when that is going to happen unfortunetly. We did have maintenance go and fix the issue as soon as it was reported. You did not tell us you were having issues after the repair. Several guests have stayed since you left with no water issues. I am not sure why you were still having problems. I am sorry for the inconvenience to you. SML VAcation Rentals.
