Excellent!!
Our family loved our stay at this VRBO! We enjoyed the walk to the lake, where we saw two moose one morning. Our young granddaughter said, “This is the best place ever!”
Excellent location for our fishing and hiking adventures. The teenage boys had plenty of room to run while we sat nightly around the fire pit. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with kitchen utensils and enough plates/cutlery for a family of 8. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is coming for an outdoor adventure.

From the owner: "We are happy you and your family had a wonderful experience!"
This house worked really well for my family of six adults. It is one of the most well stocked houses we’ve ever stayed at, from towels to kitchen utensils to games and books, they’ve really covered everything. The large living room was great for us all to sit and enjoy time together in the evenings. The multiple elevations in the home was a little odd but we got used to them quickly. The location was perfect for us to explore all the area has to offer.

Thank you for your review and we are glad your stay was wonderful. The dfferent elevations of the house are due to it being a cabin in the late 1950s and gradually growing with add-ons. The elevation in the livingroom floor was to keep the floor off the concrete that was originally a garage. This allows for a warmer, softer floor, and the bathroom downstairs has an elevation due to the added plumbing to make a bathroom in that space that was also part of a garage. The original bathroom was in the cellar off the kitchen, which is not accessible to guests. The original footprint is the kitchen and dining room, and a loft above the kitchen. It grew to a two story home, and eventually a double car garage, a mudroom both which were modified to the living room and breakfast nook.
This was a perfect place for our family's Alaska vacation. We were able to do a lot of activities during the day & see some amazing sights and then return to the cabin for relaxation in the evening. Cabin is a short walk to a stunning lake. So of our group would walk down to fish in the morning and evenings.
Cooper's Landing is 50 min from a grocery store so bring your supplies from Anchorage if you do not want to drive further.

It’s fine
Stay was good. But very overpriced for what it is. Old weak shower head and pretty uncomfortable beds. But perks, nice fire pit area outside and nice living room with a lot of seating. Was a ten minute walk from lake.

Shared from the owner: "Hi Nicole, We genuinely appreciate your feedback about your recent stay with us. We are sorry that we fell short of earning a 5-star rating on this occasion. We take your concerns about pricing seriously, and while we strive to offer a large home in a prime location, we understand that perceptions can vary. Rest assured, we continually review our pricing to ensure it remains fair and competitive.
We are thrilled you enjoyed the fire pit area, the inviting living room, and the serene surroundings. On the other hand, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the beds and the shower head. Your comfort is of the utmost importance to us, and we are actively working on remodeling efforts to enhance the overall comfort of our accommodations.
Once again, we thank you for your valuable feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to provide an improved and exceptional stay."

Home away from home!
This home has all the home amenities!! It has a full kitchen to plan and cook meals in, a large washer and dryer, and lots of games and activities for inside and out! I loved grilling and hanging out by the fire pit until the sun went down!! There’s so much space for family and friends to get together and enjoy time away from the city life. And just a quick walk to the of the most beautiful lakes in Alaska!! Can’t wait to be there again!! ❤️

Clean, comfortable home
This home was perfect for my family. Very clean with larger, well stocked kitchen. Large family room with futon. Big picture windows brought in light in June. Three full bedrooms with a bathroom upstairs and downstairs and full laundry. Lots of fresh linens and towels provided. I did see a high chair and pack ‘n play in closet too. Easy to find and convenient 15 minute drive to family wedding at Inn at Tern Lake. Close to Cooper Landing Brewery, Sunrise Inn restaurant and gas station, local trails, and an hour from Seward. The Kenai Lake is just down the gravel road. I would recommend and stay at this house again.

From the owner: "Lisa, We are so happy you and your family had such a great time! Thank you for the kind feedback!!! Hope you come back and visit us again!"
Well equipped, spacious cabin that held 8 people comfortably! Great location, walking distance to the lake, fishing stream and horseback riding stable nearby. Well equipped kitchen and whole house!
I messaged property manager prior to arrival about provided seasonings which she said was none, but we happily found it well stocked with the basics +! So we left what we had bought already too! Would love to visit here again!!
Family of 4 stayed for 3 nights. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and plenty of space. Located in a beautiful area walking distance to lake. Spent a day in Seward exploring and another day driving to Whittier and did the glacier jet ski tour. Highly recommend it.
Overall fantastic accommodation in a great location. Would definitely stay there again.
Just an awesome experience. The home is fully stocked and ready to go and is especially welcome to weary travelers who could use fresh laundry and sleeping quarters. The kitchen is fully stocked and a nice work table for those so inclined to check work emails. And the house sleeps the amount of people it advertises for very comfortably!
Our group of 2 couples loved the house! Very private, secluded location, nicely equipped kitchen and very clean! Very spacious and enjoyable!!

House was good, host not so much
The house is large, in a good location, and clean. The host needs to improve communication with guests. Plan hours on your last day to complete the list of 'to do's' before you leave the home.

Gorgeous views & Relaxing Stay
We had a wonderful time during our stay! Kenai Lake was just a short walk away with breathtaking views. The house was well stocked with everything you might need and was larger than it appeared in the pictures. The fire pit was a wonderful way to unwind and relax around a campfire with friends. It's about an hours drive from Seward which was a bit further than we anticipated but in the end it didn't bother us at all and in fact we enjoyed the more secluded location. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant (Kingfisher Roadhouse) in the nearby town and had a lovely conversation with some of the locals. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to get away and unwind in a quiet and secluded location!

Hi Julia, this homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for your stay, Julia. We are happy to hear your stay was enjoyable despite the distance to Seward - the quiet and seclusion are two of the top reasons we love the property as well!"

Great recovery house after sea kayak trip
House was a great place to recover after 6 day sea kayak trip for our party of 7. House was clean, well supplied, and very comfortable to sleep all 7. No hastles. Also had a nice backyard visit by a cow and newborn calf moose.
Lots of items provided. We didn’t need to bring much. Clean. Quiet. Very nice stay.

Wonderful stay!
We hosted my friends bachelorette party here, and it was perfect! Well stocked kitchen, we were able to cook a ton of food inside and outside over a fire/grill! The setup of the house is great, with the living room away from the bedrooms so those who wanted to stay up late could without too much disturbances to those who were sleeping. Close to great hiking trails, and plenty of parking for all of us. I would definitely stay again!
