About the host
Hosted by Cathy and Scott Jordan
We love the outdoors. In fact the outdoors is where we find peace, beauty and awe. Where can you find a better place to think, reflect and breathe? We bike, ski, cross country ski, snowboard, fish, float, walk, hike, swim, star gaze, beach walk, climb trees, nature watch, collect rocks, sit by an open fire and dream. This Laughing Whitefish River Cabin is a dream that became real. We love it and know you will love it too!
Why they chose this property
The Laughing Whitefish River Cabin is located in between Munising (Alger County) and Marquette (Marquette County). You will be able to reach both in record time to enjoy all the things you want to do. In fact, sometimes there is so much to do, it's hard to pick! But why choose? There have been days when we have gone mountain biking, kayaked in Lake Superior, climbed Sugar Loaf and finished off with a campfire watching the Northern Lights while enjoying a cool beverage.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this cabin because of the river. And the trees.... Well the river and the trees and the green...I came and sat on the deck and listened to the water flowing over the rocks. The grass was green, lush and beautiful. Apple trees and pear trees were ripe. Signs of wildlife were everywhere. Eagles follow the river to Big Blue. So, I brought my husband back and, the rest is history! The main road in- Deerton Rd will always be cleared in the winter, as a school is just down the road. We are less than a quarter mile from the snowmobile trails- a great place to watch the dog sled races for awhile then warm up at the cabin. Dreams of catching brown trout and Salmon, of cozy fires, a table full of food, and of friends and family who will share the Laughing Whitefish River Cabin led us to today.
