About this property

Water's Edge is a charming Maine cottage situated on the edge of Linekin Bay, and we do mean the edge... just steps from your front porch to a private beach with spectacular views of Linekin Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

The 1.5-acre property is the last home on a private lane at the tip of a small peninsula, and has a secluded yard surrounded by beautiful woods. The property has a unique stonewall with steps leading down to the water and a 95-foot dock and mooring.

The two-bedroom home has a master bedroom with a queen bed, flat screen TV and commanding water views from the bed. It also has a second bedroom with a full bed, a living room with a stone fireplace (candles only) and flat screen TV, a well-equipped cottage kitchen with a separate dining room and a newly completed screened-in porch overlooking Linekin Bay.

There is an outdoor dining area with a six-burner grill. The home is decorated and furnished in traditional, yet updated, Maine coast cottage style. Nearby Linekin Bay Resort has an outdoor deck bar & restaurant with great food and beverages, a heated swimming pool and more.

Water’s Edge cottage is a five-minute drive from downtown and from Topside Inn. Children of all ages and dogs (with approval) are welcome. The cottage is available from early May to mid-October and is typically rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday, with possible exceptions in the spring or fall.

Peaceful setting close to everything

This house is in a private location, quiet and beautiful at the end of the road. The pictures accurately reflect the house, which is very comfortable, especially the screened porch. The fenced yard was a bonus, as was the dock. Overall, a very tranquil, comfortable and convenient place to stay. We walked into town on multiple occasions. Another plus is the owners who are very helpful and responsive. I hope we can return in the future.

Perfect location

Perfect size of land, gave our dogs ample space to run around. Weather was not great so being near water was a great distraction sitting from the beautiful porch and the the dock. Close to many amenities and restaurants.

We are Mark & Buzz, we have lived in Boothbay Harbor since 2003 and own the Topside Inn and Mid-Town Motel. We have four rental homes in the area as part of the Boothbay Vacation Home portfolio; “Dock View” and ‘The Boathouse” are in the downtown area, “Water’s Edge Cottage” is on Linekin Bay and “The Lake House” is located on West Harbor Pond. We are very fortunate to be able to live and work is such an incredibly beautiful area and we are here to answer any questions and help our guests plan a fun and relaxing vacation in mid-coast Maine. Why they chose this property

We have all stayed in 'rental properties' that feel like rental properties; minimal kitchen equipment, 1 pot, 1 pan, 8 plates, 8 knives, forks and spoons, sparsely furnished rooms and bathrooms, and art from HomeGoods (I do like HomeGoods). This is not what you will find at our properties. We lived in this homes years and have outfitted and furnished the home completely. You will feel like you are staying at a friend’s home who happens to be away. The art work is real, the furniture is high quality and we use the same high-end linens we use at our five-star hotel. There is a huge collection of cookbooks to peruse.

What makes this property unique

Location is stunning, private tidal beach and rare southern facing location on protected bay is simply beautiful. Mark and Buzz were named Innkeepers of the Year in 2020 - "We know how to take care of our guests".
