About this property
Charming, secluded, characterful cottage in the heart of Lechlade
This cottage with its many original features, including beams, wooden floorboards and fireplace, has a log burning stove and is ideal for a cosy, romantic break or for those who love idyllic walks by the river.
It is a two-minute walk to the intriguing antique shops and pubs, restaurants and cafes. Visit the impressive church in the centre of Lechlade, which inspired Shelley or the ancient church in Inglesham (approximately one mile away) which features restoration by William Morris. In addition, several stunning honey-coloured stone villages and National Trust houses of note (for which the Cotswolds is so famous) are only a few minutes' drive away.
The cottage is located down a secluded path, just off a no-through road where there is free, safe parking.
Beneath the famous "Halfpenny Bridge" lies the Riverside Restaurant which is a great place to watch for water birds, have a relaxing drink or meal or hire a boat for a trip up the river.

Lovely secluded, cosy cottage. Excellent location and the village was brilliant for eating out. I can recommend the pie and mash at the Swan. The accommodation had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
Cosy, well equipped cottage in a quiet location. Nice enclosed garden for our dog and a short walk into the village or to the river. Good communication with Julia and a nice little welcome pack.

It is a cost, atmospheric cottage. Like stepping back in history but with the facilities you need.
Lovely cottage , with a small , sunny garden in Lechlade. Comfy beds, very peaceful. Well equipped . Plenty local shops and a few pubs, easy walk to river. Small path off road to property.
A lovely cottage in the neighbourhood of the Cotswolds. We liked to eat in the garden, to explore the surroundings of the Cotswolds and the Thames and the kitchen is well equipped. There is a washing machine and a dryer.
Our second stay here and as great as the first time. Very close to shops and cafes/pubs and even a playground for children.
The cottage is clean and had everything you need, including a beautifully kept garden. Great value for a weekend in the countryside!
We really liked the cottage, it was perfect for us as two friends together. We really appreciated the little extras that were left. It was very quiet although central to Lechlade. Parking was in the street but we found somewhere each day for two cars. Highly recommend this cottage

We had nice 14 days in a lovely cottage in the nice cotswolds!! thank you for the nice reception gift. We will recommend the cottage to others. Thank for all Julia...
The cottage was a lovely place to stay for the week. The kids enjoyed having their own room with separate beds. The cozy garden was just what we needed after the long trip across the pond.
It is well located, within a 3-5 minute walk of grocers, butchers, and pubs. Take a 15 minute stroll down to the Trout Inn if you get a chance, it sits right on the Thames and the staff is very friendly.

We fell in love with the cottage immediately. It was just as pictured, but somehow more lovely and charming in person!! Julia was so proactive and kind. Parking on the main street was very easy and Lechlade was a fantastic central spot for exploring the Cotswolds. We hope we can visit again soon!!
loved this cottage. Had everything we needed and was so cosy and comfortable. The chocolate, cake and wine as much appreciated and enjoyed, thank you. Lechlade was a wonderful place to stay, lots of lovely walks and pubs to relax in, didn’t want to go home. Would definitely recommend the cottage and the village to anyone who wants a relaxing and chill out break.
The cottage was gorgeous. It was small, personal and comfy. Everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We explored Lechlade, went to several pubs and ate out, as well as cooked in the cottage. I did lots of sketching, and went fishing with my boys. It was a great short break. Julia's property was perfect.

We have always loved Lechlade since we moved there from London just after our first daughter was born. We now live in a nearby village and we have been doing holiday lets in our little cottage for many years. We love welcoming both new and returning visitors.
Nothing gives us greater joy than reading the comments in the visitors book. We really want you to have the most relaxing and enjoyable time possible, and we very much hope you like the complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits!
