Nice clean cottage with beautiful garden. Very kind and helpful host. We had a lovely week and recommend the hayloft for couples and families. Incredible area with lots to do and see!
The appartement feels like a house and is exactly as described. Very comfortable, cosy and clean. We loved the garden and the woods with the swings. The communication with Dorothy was quick and easy. It was the perfect point for us to explore Loch Lomond and the surroundings.
What a sheer delight staying here for just a few day's. Lovely place to explore the area. Everything we needed. Well equipped. Beautiful outlook watching the birds and squirrels in the garden from the comfort of living room after our exertions walking and cycling.
This is a cosy little property looking out on a lovely garden.Although the dining kitchen and living room were quite small we did not feel cramped. The owners Dorothy and Neil were very hospitable, providing us with some shortbread biscuits, a little whisky and their own grapes. Since this is a two bedroom property It was useful having a second bedroom in which to put our cases and bags. The location is excellent, very close to Aberfoyle and within easy walking distance of Loch Ard. Access to the rest of the Trossachs is very easy from here. We would certainly stay here again if we are visiting this area,
What a wonderful place to stay, just down the road from Aberfoyle which is a great place to get away to while still retaining restaurants and shops. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, the cottage is adorable and well furnished. The views from the cottage are very nice and there are tons of excellent walks either straight out the garden or down the street a ways. They had a great DVD collection for rainy days, they provided legos for my 2 year old, though she was more inclined to destroy rather than build (sorry spaceships), we were really wanting for nothing, heat and hot water were excellent, wifi was fast. Parking was incredibly close and convenient. I really can't say enough good things!
We can't speak highly enough of our stay. We loved it so much that we extended by a night! The Hayloft has everything you need to be incredibly comfortable and relaxed, and Dorothy and Neil are so accommodating. It's a brilliant mix of well thought through practical things like a utility room, along with holiday luxuries like a big bath, snuggly bed, and a lovely selection of books and DVDs! It was also great for our 1 year old who loved being there.
You can't beat the location - you can walk to Aberfoyle for groceries, coffee and a lovely pub, and you can access stunning walks without needing to get in the car.
We fell in love with the area and hope to be back for another stay at the Hayloft!
The Hayloft may not be the biggest, but the space has been well-designed and beautifully presented. The outside space is fantastic, with a great garden, including two great swings for the kids and plenty to explore. Although attached to the hosts' house, the Hayloft feels quite private, but Dorothy and Neil were readily available to deal with any enquiries and to offer advice on the local area. The area is amazing, with a range of activities within easy reach.
While we were staying work was being carried out on the road between the Hayloft and Aberfoyle, but Dorothy went out of her way to explain this to us well before we arrived and make sure we were able to work around any impact this might have had on our stay.
Overall, fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely short break at the Hayloft which was perfect for a family of four. It was cosy, homely, warm and comfortable, with lots of lovely touches by the owners, including fresh grapes from their vine. The surroundings are truly beautiful - next to Loch Ard with many walks and cycle paths. We loved it here. And the dog was thrilled with the woods at the back garden. Perfect for morning walks. Definitely would like to come back!
The Hayloft is very cosy and comfortable.
We did many of the suggested local walks, lovely views. It's a 15 min stroll to Aberfoyle with good bakers, butchers and a Coop.
It's a good location to explore the Trossachs.
The french windows look out on the garden and more importantly the bird feeders, fascinating watching the various birds and red squirrels.
We had a lovely break, a great escape from all the covid19 troubles. Good measures in place.
Thank you.
The property was ideally located. Could easily walk into the village or have a lovely walk with stunning scenery around loch Ard and Aberfoyle forest.
The cottage had everything we needed. Dorothy and Neil were both very welcoming. Their garden was beautiful loved watching the red squirrel rushing backwards and forwards and the woodpecker on the bird feeder, along with all the other birds that visited.
Ideal location for visiting some amazing locations. Three Loch Drive and Loch Lomond definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic property in a great location. Great for couples or families (and pets). Nice village with everything we needed. Loads of walks on the doorstep and access to the woods behind the house. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again

The Hayloft is beautifully situated on the outskirts of Aberfoyle. A great tranquil place with lots of wildlife around. We saw various birds in the great garden inclusing a sparrow hawk and a buzzard. Also a red squirrel and a pine marten came feeding in the garden. The house is big enough for two adults and two children, Well equiped. A great place to stay with Aberfoyle and the rest of The Trosachs at your doorstep.

I am artist. My husband Neil and I both worked for BBC television for many years. We moved to Aberfoyle because we loved the area and were always visiting at weekends. When the perfect house came up in the perfect location we couldn't resist! We love living here and hope you will enjoy your visit too. Many of our guests come back every year.
