Sadly we were locked out of the house until 8pm and only accessed the property due to my daughter finding a hidden key- the house was dirty and messy and did not have clean bed linen or towels the owner had to be called to remind her of our arrival - the following day the heating and hot water was not working and again the owner had to be called to come and restart the boiler - very unprofessional and disorganised

There was a genuine mix up at our end and we hold our hands up and admit that the house hadn’t been fully prepared before the guest arrived (the bedding still needed changing over). However, this was remedied on the night that the guest arrived. The heating was working, it was cold because the thermostat had simply been turned down to 0, so this was resolved as soon as we were told about the issue. Whilst we understand why the guest wants to highlight these issues in their review, we are very disappointed that they have neglected to mention that they were sent compensation and said that they were happy with that gesture.

Poor Management
Freezing cold - thermostat turned right down, hot water didn’t work at all and no response from owner when asked about it. Poor.

I am really sorry to hear about the problems with the heating and hot water. Unfortunately, I did not receive any messages from the guest so I was unaware of the issue they encountered until 10 days after the guest had left. Had I known I would have sent someone over to assist them straightaway.

Good
Location excellent. Cirencester town delightful. House good. Information book on how to work the fire and central heating etc would have been helpful. Mismatch of cutlery and crockery some of which were broken. Dishwasher didn't work. Sofas small and uncomfortable.
