Cottage With Views Of Esthwaite Water, an Osprey Nest and Close To Hawkshead

A luxury 1 bedroom cottage, regularly upgraded, in the grounds of Rough Close House, separated from the main house by a court yard. All the rooms are seperate, there is a lot of space for two. Accommodation is for 2 adults only. There is ample, easy off road parking.
Visitors may also spot the ospreys which nest on Esthwaite Water. Their nest can be seen from the Coppice lounge normally. The ospreys usually arrive late March or early April and leave at the end of August. They have had chicks each year recently and there are now four nesting pairs in the area.
The property is ideally placed for wide range of activities including walking, mountain biking, fishing, or sight-seeing. Whichever you choose we hope you will enjoy your stay at the Coppice.

Why they chose this property

Knowing the Lake District very well we looked over the whole of the area before choosing Rough Close because of it's fantastic setting between Grizedale forest and Esthwaite Water. It is a beautiful location in any weather and at any time of year.

What makes this property unique

It is quiet and picturesque, yet very close Hawkshead and central to some of the Lake Districts' finest and most famous visitor attractions. The Coppice has been luxuriously updated and is maintained to to a high standard. It is very spacious and will certainly help you to make the best of your stay in the Lake District.
